Just caught a snippet on the news. Says cash flow is a problem. They don't want any redundancies in staff but will have to cut back on the playing side. Relegation clauses are in place but these don't come into effect until July hence cash issues. I guess this might have come from an interview on STID last night. I might have got this wrong but it sounded like jobs for the boys are safe. We cut the playing staff and don't expect any action until July. Also what is he doing as club spokesman? Seems like anyone will do provided it is not Jenkins. Did anyone hear the full interview?

So what’s your version of events then Gar ?
I haven't got a version of events any more clearer than anyone else Bony. But what i do know is that Huw Cooze was an innocent pawn in this game. A great fella, who thought that being mates and socialising with them was nothing other than a genuine friendship. Why would he have cause to think otherwise? Huw is one of us, and nothing anyone says on here would convince me otherwise.

Ok then mate fair enough but over the course of 18 months or so he must have had an inkling as to what was going on there ??
To say he was TOTALLY oblivious to the going’s on is quite naive in my opinion he was happy to accept the hospitality his position afforded him but didn’t extend any further as to ‘turning a blind eye ‘ ......

Nah. Not havin that. Huw Cooze is a genuine guy through and through. Swans fan first and foremost, friends of the sell outs very much a second. A typical example of keeping your enemies close, and that's exactly what they did with Huw Cooze.
But wasn't the whole idea, to have one of our own in there keeping any potential enemy close, so that we didn't have a repeat of the very scenario from which the Trust was borne?

Indeed mate our Club has been infested by scumbags whose only concern is self preservation within the current regime ......

It's not even naive is it. Why would he have reason to think anything was going on? Were they whispering things at the bar behind his back that he didn't quite catch? Fffs mun

Not at the time no, because enemies they weren't as far as the trust were concerned. It was obviously the sell outs who viewed the trust as the enemy! I'm struggling to understand how many of you still can't grasp this basic concept!

Well, having one of our own in there hasn't worked I'm afraid. I can grasp that bit.

So over a period of 18 months he NEVER ONCE heard any conversation about a sale despite him being in the Directors Box & Morgan’s Hotel for much of that time ?........
‘Turn a blind eye I feel for you, .....
the motto of our ‘Trust’ at that time .....absolute joke !!!

Huw Cooze (as far as i know) is not a trained MI5 spy. If there's 5 of you, and the other 4 want to arrange a piss up without you, how would you know until after it's happened?

Dear god mun! Why would they have a conversation in the company of Huw Cooze about the sale of the club when they are out on the piss? Ffs Bony, stop, think and get real man!

I am as suspicious and as untrusting as anyone but yes, I think it is possible. He would not be the only one led up the garden path as the recent Court case proved. If the objective was to keep The Trust in the dark then keeping their representative out in the cold would be a priority. If the rewards for doing so are multi millions then keeping schtum in certain company would be a essential for all those Itk. Yes he could be accused on naivety but 'In Huw We Trust' was a buzzword around here for many. I have not got a clue what went on and I suspect we will not know whilst possible legal action remains a possibility. Hopefully we will be able to get to the bottom of this at a later date.

For sure. But don't include Huw Cooze in the mix, because he certainly doesn't deserve it. Trust me.

The more you step back the worse it gets. Just for a moment imagine that it was the sellouts plan all along, right from the very start, back to the Petty years.
1. Keep the trust on side and cosy so nothing is suspected, but ensure they do not get 25% shareholding to get any proper legal protection or any real power/say in the club.
2. Nobble the supporters director. Think about it, first Dineen is compromised by somehow becoming a major shareholder (at a very preferential rate). Then Cooze is either compromised, or enough “evidence” is produced to allow suspicions of such, using printing contracts and getting him on the club payroll in another roll.
3. Promote the club overseas as a stable, well run, profit making success story in the media (particularly JTAK), to get potential buyers interested.
4. Flog the club on the quiet to the first mugs who’ve bought into the propaganda Andy see the opportunity to make a quick buck. No need to tell the trust as they have less than 25% shareholding, so no real protection and can simply be bypassed, making the club even cheaper for the buyer because that have all the power without buying all the shares.
5. If the trust make any fuss, keep them on the back foot by suggesting that the convenient patsy SD (Cooze) really was compromised and knew about the sale all along. Also sow division, release the incriminating info to the press/fans, so that the fans turn on the Trust.
All speculation of course, but still it isn’t hard to imagine knowing what we know now is it?

You raise some very good points. Going back many years, I always found it strange that Jenkins stopped sending out automatic Trust memberships with the Season Tickets. It always raised suspicions with me that he was not as supportive of the Trust as I expected him to be.

I always thought it was strange too, to the point of suspicious.
Looking back it’s obvious isn’t it? The sellouts wanted the trust to be irrelevant. He wanted to distance the Trust from the fans.

No.
Then he’d have to be a thick tw@t to sit back knowing about an upcoming sale and sh1t storm he’d be at the center of for the 40k or so he was having. Especially when the others were going to make millions. Mates or not, I don’t see anyone accepting that

It smells like a setup. I think he was only given that role and inflated wage by the club the year the sale negotiations had begun. Can anybody correct me on that if I’m wrong?
