Cardiff's new MTC on 09:37 - Nov 13 with 3474 views | swanjackal | "Wales' only neurosurgery hospital..." Yes it is, thanks to moving all operations from Morriston around 4-5 years ago. Something that really annoys me as my care has me having to make round trips to a poorly accessible, expensive to park hospital, in a department that has f'cked up several appointments (put to see the wrong specialist twice, and lost my notes last time I visited, with the registrar not even knowing why they were seeing me, or whether I had an operation). On ward care was good, as was with Morriston, food aside in both, but the admin staff in the Heath are woeful in the neurosurgery department. Never had any of the problems in several years visiting Morriston.

The National Health lost a brilliant Consultant Neurosurgeon in Tim Buxton when everything was moved to Cardiff. He was allegedly suspended for fighting the move to Cardiff.... this suspension went on for a very, very long time before he won his case, but he's never worked in the National Health again!! Many parents of children, who's lives he saved supported him and were against the move, yet once again Cardiff gets what Cardiff wants, with no thought for the patients
| Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎 |
