Kirky's Transfer Rumour Mill Thread 19:47 - May 14 with 123567 viewsTheKirkyLife

Since our Premier League survival is now confirmed I thought it was about time that we look positively to the future for those legendary £5 million Jenkins' Specials. Who knows? We may even spend £10 million on individual players. I'll be updating the thread with every transfer rumour I come across. Feel free to read, discuss and so forth.

First entry is the bi-annual "is Bony coming home?" rumour. The Daily Mail reports that City are ready to sell for £15 million with us and the Hammers ready to start negotiations.

Looks like Chris Wood will be joining Burnley in a £15 million deal, so that means another player is crossed off our list. I wonder who plays upfront for Falkirk's reserves ?

If we are about to sign Santiago Arias (which would be excellent news) then that would leaves us with only 1 more spot.

If it pans out like that will we bring in a Striker or an Attacking Midfielder/Winger?

The priority would have to be Attacking midfield/winger for me as we already have Llorente and Abraham as striker options with Ayew as back up.

Yet many seem convinced that we will sign Bony. Meaning that we will have replaced Siggy with Clucas.

To sign 2 more after Arias we will have to sell 1...I pray to God it's Montero or Fulton or Ki that's going out the door, please don't let it be Llorente!

and even if my dream scenario unfolds and we sell Montero and bring in Clucas, Arias, Bony and an attacking midfielder (such as Chadli...I think he's overpriced though) we would still be only one long term injury away (at Centre-back) from almost certain relegation IMO

I think that we could see a departure or two.

Would not rule out Montero and/or Routledge going.

Would not also rule out Fulton going out on loan either.

Also talk that Nordfellt might go out on loan.

It will be both I imagine.

Bony and Chadli. Llorente going to Chelsea.

I think Routledge would stay... he is being used too much for so must be in PC's plans..

Fulton I can imagine getting loaned out, also Nordvelt and Mcburnie if we bring in a new Striker....

I would personally like to see us bring in Arias, Clucas (seeing as it is happening), Chadli and Bony... I think that covers all our weaknesses at the moment.

For me in depends on PC's preferred/intended formation for the season ahead, if we are going to broadly start 3-5-2 then for me we need a 5th CB plus Arias at RB/RWB in addition to Bony, Clucas & Chadli - agree that Fulton, McB & Nordfelt could then go out on loan.
0
Kirky's Transfer Rumour Mill Thread on 16:22 - Aug 22 with 2945 viewsTheKirkyLife

McBurnie is almost certain to go out on loan with Bony coming in. I expect Nordfeldt/Muller to go out on loan with Fulton also possibly joining that list thanks to Clucas' arrival.

I can see there only being 2 signings. Arias and clucas.
We don't do deals quick enough to get any more in and certainly doesn't seem as though we had deals in place for when sigurdsson left

We will sign 3-4 players.
I'm sure we have players lined up but it's probably not that simple to tie everything up.
Clucas, Arias or Yiadom (Arias I hope), Bony and Chadli to sign.

Links have gone VERY quiet for him. If I was a gambling man (and I'm not) I'd say that West Brom have set the previously reported £20-£25 million tag but will be forced to sell near the end of the window for £15 million.

Following up on this, the Mail reporting that Brom value him at £25 million. Ridiculous.

Clement also stated that attacking players are the priority. I am unsure as to who we will see.
If there are plans to keep the 3-5-2 then there is no need to bring in a siggy replacement or a winger. so could just be another striker.

My guess is thats what will happen, Bony plus Arias.

I think he means Arias and Bony. Wilfried may be a sticking point on the wage front more than anything. If he doesn't move however that may well be his career finished.
