Absolutely ; Gordon Jenkins (HJ's Dad) sat next to us in the old Double Decker for many years back in the 70's and we went on many away trips together.

I know this will sound stupid but they haven't even got that much money if they want to enter the rich mans world. They will be laughed at as w*nky chancers and spivs that got lucky (like Delboy finding a painting) and thought of with contempt in their gated houses and costa villas. The newfound riches will undoubtedly lead to family acrimony; it always does, and I would expect a few more divorces now. Then who can you trust...every 'friend' will be after a cut. Their problems are just beginning.
Their only hope of acting the big cheese was to remain local heroes, and they seem to have pissed on that spectacularly.
Bitter? Yes of course, but that is just the normal trajectory of these things. They have thrown away an asset that can't be replaced, for some short term shiny toys and a lot of acrimony. If they'd acted differently they could have had it all plus respect, which can't be bought. It's a genuine shame, but shows how seriously braindead they are. No wonder most of them were so small time before the Swans dragged them out of obscurity. |  |

Agree with this. MM already had serious wealth that hasn't bought him as much respect as SCFC story. They sold out and destroyed their own legacy and with it their family reputations. If it goes badly for the club it'll be expensive to move their families away from the area and they'll be a long time retired. HJ and LD will be unemployable in the real world. |  | | |

Personally i dont think it was his success, tip tapy football started with Martinez followed by success and again with Brendan, yes we won a cup, but I am of the opinion the rot had started that season, slowly the style started changing, and if you weigh up the money we have wasted on some players and staff since, including wages and pay offs, its not that great. some bad appointments , some crap players, and we trusted this lot to find new owners?! | | | |

I agree it has all gone downhill since Huw fell out with Toots. He called Huw a liar in the press as well and there was little response.
I still think Huw bathed in his own perceived glory and the OBE just gave a huge boost to an already inflated ego.
I would not be surprised he is still smugly thinking he has the ability to get us out if this mess with more bargain buys from the lower leagues in January. | |
