Mental if we've turned down £10m.

Bonkers. F*cking. Mental.

He's got another two seasons and that's worth more than £10million.

I'm not so sure. The real value is in staying in the league, not in resale value. If we think he gives us a much better chance of that it's worth turning down.

Could well just be holding out for an improved bid though

If Stones is going for 50 million, we should ask for at least 60 because Ash is a better player.

under no illusions that the transfer will go through, just Huw playing his Levy card. Hopefully sends a message to West Ham too, if you want our players then pay their true worth of f off

Debatable. Highly debatable...

We now have a captain who has been denied the move he wants.
Not as if he's a Billy Big Bollox either...

Not when we end up selling Amat for 3 or £4m (If that) because the lad wants first team football.

They are looking at £120m for Stones and Lukaku apparently. Worth making them pay top dollar and if they don't, they can look somewhere else

I do not want him to leave but if he does will not be to upset, maybe then I won't be worrying every time a team has a corner against us.
If we have turned down £10m no doubt they will increase the bid or another team will turn up with £12/13m.

I sont see why we cant play them both. Fernandez is a good defender, but awful with the ball at his feet. They aren't so similar they couldn't form a partnership.

Don't think this is the end of the Everton deal though

Ash on 21:42 - Aug 2 with 1887 viewsAnotherJohn

A lot of pundits were saying that £10M was underwhelming - regardless of age. There was more in that deal for Everton than for us. At a higher price the decision might be different.

How interesting.

Seems like 'Mr Swansea' had negotiated a deal before the club had accepted a bid then.

Agent tells the media it's happening. Club turn bid down.

Oh dear.

Well done Huw. If he wants to go for this 'new challenge' (aka more money) then make them pay what we want. Otherwise, he's two more years.

Increased bid tomorrow?
