Agree with the sentiments about building up funds, its what they are used for that is the real contention and a tangible sign of where the club goes moving forward.
On a related matter, Ash's potential departure may free up more than just a high wage but may also remove the reported 'pay me parity with the highest earner' clause from the club. Getting Bony back (or bringing in any other superstar!) on a 'bank busting' contract would have lead to Ash receiving a rise to create parity. One less hurdle to worry about regarding signing on fees, wages and bonuses. | | | |
