Leroy fer on 21:46 - Feb 1 by donkonky | Man! surely this guy can't be as bad as all that!! Do you really get in the Dutch team by being a total waste of space ..Someone must have a good word to say about Mr Fer! Anyone? Welcome Leroy hope it works it out for you here lad.I'm gonna give you a chance anyway. |
Confirmed as signed on SSN! If he does as well as he has in the Fantasy Premier League in the past then he'll be a really useful signing!
Leroy fer on 22:11 - Feb 1 with 2113 views | Tom1912 | Happy with this. Not a bad player, and gives us extra cover in midfield.

I find it a thoroughly underwhelming signing to be honest, but will reserve judgement until he's settled in. I assume it is just for cover, which would explain the no buy out option. Just someone to see us through to the summer when we expect to get one of our main targets in.

Same here. On the bright side he adds height to the team and from looking at his highlights reel, he can score off corners, which we have always struggled with. All the best and welcome Leroy. Hopefully you can get your head right and get your career back on track here.

I feel the same way. Also, If the threat of losing his place to Fer gives Ki the kick up the arse he needs to remember he's a good player, then he'll have been worth it. For those gnashing their teeth about what QPR fans think of him, remember that they were falling over themselves in the summer of 2014 to tell us how bad Tom Carroll was. He was decent enough despite all that expert advice.

Leroy fer on 22:42 - Feb 1 with 1823 views | Griffting | Can i just say Caulker was relegated with 2 teams in a row but when he was loaned to us looked like a very decent player.. Its about 11 players on the pitch not just 1

Agree. Let's all get behind him and give him a chance. Hopefully he'll pleasantly surprise us.

That was down to Ash, pure and simple. At QPR and Crapduf he was expected to be the main man but didn't have the experience to be so. Leon's roll in yhat shouldn't be underestimated either - he always provided an outlet making Caulker look a better footballer than he ever has since imo.

Yeah I'm in agreement too. Clearly just another body to add to the squad. Clearly has talent/potential. If he does well we can look to add in the summer. If not then we are better off than if we only went with Grimes/Fulton etc and we can add our preferred targets in the summer.

Exactly mate. So I'm hoping that Siggy, Ayew, Leon, Ki and Williams etc can provide a similar role in making Leroy Fer look a better player than he is, or certainly bring out his better qualities.

Leroy fer on 19:22 - Feb 1 by DWQPR | Thought I would give you a fair opinion on Fer. I have watched QPR since 1972, from the age of 6 and without a doubt Fer is the laziest, over-rated footballer I have ever seen in the hoops. He will wander around near the action without wanting to get involved, unless the ball comes to him, he miss-times headers, under hits passes with alarming regularity and cannot trap a wet bag of cement. He occasionally hits a blinder of a goal (you had first hand experience of that at LR on New Years Day last year but for the most part you'll be playing with ten men whenever he is picked. Don't for one minute expect a box to box midfielder. Just wanders around. Absolutely thrilled that he has gone to you, even though it is only on loan. Our midfield has just got stronger by default. And don't be fooled that he is a Dutch International. Have you seen the Dutch play lately? Cheerio Leroy and don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out! |
I was Amit Bhatia's bodyguard for 3 years and often accompanied him to lotus Rd (yes he knew I was a swans fan) and I can whole heartily agree with this post that Leroy Fer is a complete turd in a basket. Fact. Desperate from us a la ngog, schecter ect.
