Quite. Never mind the missing poll, I’m more concerned about the incorrect placing of the “” in the title. "Investors" Maybe with the money Bony is on at Man City, he could “invest” and buy himself back.

Currently experiencing a slump! Would you now say "yes" to investors? on 17:36 - Nov 2 by jackrabbit | Yes they want to buy into the Club in the hope of getting an increased return on their initial outlay - in my understanding of the term, that is the definition of 'investment'. |
They want to use their money to buy part or most of the club. There's no indication that they want to spend any money in the club: their plan could be just to give themselves bigger dividends when the extra TV money rolls in next season, and use us as a cash cow for their own businesses in America. Nobody knows.

Currently experiencing a slump! Would you now say "yes" to investors? on 00:32 - Nov 2 by Millie | There is no money in the pot and we can only strengthen in January if we sell first, club is not rolling in it as some think, more a case of what comes in soon goes out, £12m on agents fees alone. All that said and done, I'd still like to see us grow organically than taking a chance and having the wrong type involved. |
I strongly believe Ayew will leave in January for a top club. He's a cut above Any money we get in will then be spent on the striker we need

A cut above what? He's a luxury player if you ask me, although he did look busier/more interested against Arsenal.

I thought he was poor on Saturday to be honest but do agree on the luxury front With him in the side we are unbalanced. He isn't a right winger but we have him playing that role. Naughton looks weaker as a result as the right hand side defensively becomes wide open as Naughton gets forward and Ayew tracks inside. It's not been mentioned much but we would look a better balanced side if it was a case at the moment of Gomis or Ayew in the side and not both of them Barrow and Montero (Routledge) providing some width to the team allowing the full backs to do what they have become used to and what they do well. Sigurdsson would become more involved in the game then IMO as he has extra outlets to try and feed and I have said many times I would always play one of Cork/Britton and one of Shelvey/Ki which gives the rest of the midfield a better balance. We know Ayew can score so rather than "seeing if Eder is good enough" move him up front and give Gomis the rest he needs (and protect him from some of the OTT bashing he gets from his own supporters)

I'm struggling to see why people want to try Ayew as a lone striker. He scores goals because Gomis occupies the centre backs and he drifts in. Different game when he is on his own up there.

Possibly yes but as it stands at the moment his inclusion is the one that is making the side unbalanced IMO Plus of course he has elevated himself to the status of above criticism no matter how badly he plays... | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It is difficult to drop him, but I agree with you that he does unbalance the side. We tried him in the Siggy role, albeit only for an hour or so and he was anonymous. I can't see him working up front. I'd be tempted to leave him where he is and bring Leon in for Ki with the instruction that he slots into right midfield to protect Naughton as and when required.

Completely agree but it's only him and Siggy scoring at the moment so it's a tough one.

Indeed so and can you imagine the outrage if he was dropped (which I don't think he should be I would like to see him try and play up front and give Gomis a rest) We certainly haven't got the best out of Ayew and I definitely believe that his place on the right hand side is causing us some of the problems!

Agree with you Phil,I have been saying for a couple of weeks that he should be playing left hand side midfield.

Some of us have been mentioning that this is our problem for a couple of weeks now... !! It's the balance between Montero, Gomis and Ayew that's wrong. It's wrong going forward and it's wrong when defending as well. Have to push Ayew up to try at some point. Or if we're going to play both Ayew and Gomis, then we shouldn't be playing Montero but should go instead to a diamond.
