Absolutely abysmal.

Laughed and joked with Arsenal all day.

Gifted them a second.

Ashley Williams getting booked for a foul after Barrow was assaulted on the edge of their box pretty much sums Friend up.

Embarrassment.

Look at the ref's position from the free kick. He is 8 yards away from Mertesacker and looking directly at him. Siggy appeals for handball, but as you say noone else has a good view (apart from the ref). Hounding refs is something the Swans don't do (and never have).

Was Kevin Friend really as biased in Swansea's favour as Arsenal fans have made out? Serious question as I haven't seen the match yet, I'm just going by the torrent of abuse he's getting on the Arsenal forums for his allegedly pro-Swansea favouritism.

I think saying the referee decided the outcome of the game is somewhat incorrect. Yes, he missed the handball which in itself is inexcusable, possible penalty with Gomis and also the 2nd goal for Arsenal did look a foul from where I was in the East stand.

Sadly not seen MOTD so can't really confirm all of the above but the still I've seen of Mertesacker it looked blatant.

Still following Dr's orders!

The angle I was coming from was that second goal was not a valid goal.

Therefore we are at 0-1 and still in the game, at 0-2 because of the goal we pushed and got punished for 0-3.

It is frustrating how friendly certain refs are with the big clubs players. As someone has alluded to he was laughing and joking with them for the entire match. Thought he was running over to celebrate Campbells goal at one point but just put his arm around him and gave him a bit of a hug.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

I'm not disputing what you've said there because it was a big call by Mr Friend not to award a free kick and as a result we were heavily punished for not playing to the whistle, assuming it was going to be given.

But I think we should be concentrating more on what we did wrong. Referees make bad calls all the time but they don't make as many mistakes as the players.

I know where your coming from.

All I want like most fans is the same crack of the whip, if that is Cech under pressure from Gomis we all know that freekick is given.

I've seen the incident a few time today and I still think that Fab should have dealt with it better.

I've seen the Gomis chance half a dozen times on MOTD and am still not sure if it was a penalty and red card, as I felt in real time, or if Gomis made a meal of poor finishing. He should definitely have shot when about four or five yards from the keeper, but I knew he'd try and walk it around him, its his favourite move.

The handball in the wall was very difficult to spot in fairness, I notice not one of our players appealed at the time, because they hadn't spotted it.

As for their second goal, a definite foul on the keeper. No excuse for that, and it knocked the stuffing out of our boys, you could see they all thought "no way will we get anything out of this game, we're playing 12 men".

Yes he should, but when was the last time you saw a goal like that stand?

Such is football, if we had scored in the manner of their 2nd then we'd be furious if it had been ruled out.

Koscielny stood his ground and Fab f**ked up, deal with it

Indeed we were furious when Shechter (aye, incredibly) had the same type of goal ruled out against the Delias for Michu's 'foul'. The der der der dildo tune for the dipsticks even started up. Not sure who the ref was. Would be funny if it were Kevo.

If all these refs weren't so biased, we'd be unbeaten and top of the league.

I thought he was pretty good and fair. I enjoyed it when he pulled Arsenal up for a foul throw in.And for the Fabianski incident I was right in line with it and at the time thought he jumped too early.Haven't seen the replay.

After seeing it several times now, i have to agree Fab should have flattened them two and punched clear

He made one or two errors but I didn't think it was a bad performance from him.

Having seen the incident on MOTD last night I didn't think there was a lot in it

Reckon Fabianski should have dealt with it better

Why did our players stop? We should have played till the whistle

It was a daft goal to give away and it killed off any chance we had

The first goal was a soft one too, why weren't there any players by the posts?

I dislike refs more than anyone but pointing the finger at the ref is taking the easy way out

Giroud fouls Fabianski, end of!

Thought we played the best we've done for a few weeks, unfortunately Gomis is so short of confidence at the moment, the dilemma is whether to bench him and risk it dropping even further. He was looking a real handful in that 1st 45 mins, and a goal would have done him the world of good.
