I read aamb for many years but have stopped having read the blatant antisemitism espoused on there mainly by Annis himself.

Got no time for that nonsense having been to Aushwitz. these boards should be football talk only

My biggest no no in this conversation is playing Grimes and Fulton in the same team. They slow the game down. Another old fashioned term is we need a dog in midfield someone to win the ball and give it to someone else to play it forward.
Bill Shankly famously said football is like a piano. You need half a dozen to carry it and one to play it.

I feel that MG plays much to deep under our current manager. He spends a lot of the game between and behind the two centre backs. He must have been told to play there.
It compares to the old Italian style of defensive football when they called that position Catenaccio.

Catenaccio or The Chain is a tactical system in football with a strong emphasis on defence. In Italian, catenaccio means "door-bolt", which implies a highly organised and effective backline defence focused on nullifying opponents' attacks and preventing goal-scoring opportunities. Wikipedia
Unfortunately he is not suited to playing that role. He does not have the pace or aggression.
I wish we had a captain in the Ash Williams/ Garry Monk mode.

In all competitions this will be the 118th competitive fixture between Cardiff City and Swansea City/Town (not including friendlies, inter-war years etc). At present Cardiff City hold the upper hand overall in the fixture, with 46 wins to Swansea's 43. This is mainly due to our previous involvement in Welsh competition - our record in the English pyramid (league and cup) reads Cardiff 25 wins, Swansea 36.

At Swansea we have a pretty poor record, except in Welsh cup competition. We've won a remarkable 12 out of 19 visits there in the Welsh cup (63%) yet won 7 out of 41 (17%) in the league and other cups. Our Welsh cup successes are largely built on 6 wins in 7 visits there in the 1960s and 70s, having previously lost 5 in a row in Swansea in all competitions.

Our non-Welsh cup record at Swansea Town was poor, winning twice and losing 9 in 14 visits in league, Southern League and FA cup. Our record against the re-named Swansea City is marginally better, winning 5 and losing 16 in 27 trips. We've scored 38 goals in Swansea, excluding Welsh competitions, but conceded 71.

Swansea's promotion in 2007/08 to the Championship saw regular games between us again and might be considered another starting point in the two clubs' rivalry. There's no doubt that this has been the most successful period for Swansea in the derby's history and their dominance has grown to the point where it may be safe to say that many Cardiff fans expect disappointment on derby day.

Stats since 2008 make for grim reading. Overall, of all regular Championship opposition we've faced since 2008, we only have a worse win percentage against 9 other sides and only Middlesbrough and QPR have beaten us more often. Only Watford, Sheffield Wednesday, Boro and Hull have scored more against us, while we have failed to score more often against Swansea than any other team.

Since 2008 we've won 5, lost 11 and drawn 3 games againt our biggest rivals, scoring 15 and conceding 30. Our record at Swansea has been particularly grim, losing 7 out of 10 and winning only 2, where one of those was in an empty stadium. We've scored 6 goals there in those 10 visits but only once in the last 6 away trips, with Craig Bellamy's winner in 2011 the last time Cardiff fans saw us score at Swansea. We've lost 5 of our last 6 visits there, failing to score in any of those defeats, conceding 11 goals in those defeats and keeping the scoreline down to 1-0 only once.

Our last win at Swansea was when Aden Flint scored the winner early on in the 2020/21 Covid season. That was also the only time in any of the last 19 derbies since 2008 that we've had the lead at half time. Swansea have led at half time on 8 occasions, winning 7. The derby has been level at half time on 10 occasions, with both Cardiff and Swansea winning 4 apiece.

In 1,710 minutes of derby football since 2008, we've had the lead for a total of 148 minutes, while Swansea have been in front for 714. Swansea have scored first 14 times, we've scored first 4 times with one 0-0. Scoring first seems to be a huge advantage has only once in 18 derbies has a side lost having scored first - Swansea in 2010 when Chopra scored a very late winner. Swansea have conceded 6 equalisers, though still won twice having done so, while we have only once conceded an equaliser since 2008. They haven't equalised against us in 17 games though, since 2010 (the Chopra derby), we've only done so once and still lost. The average time for Swansea's opening goal since 2008 stands at 28 minutes - ours stands at 50 minutes.

Only once in the last 14 derbies have both sides scored. There hasn't been a score draw in the fixture since the last derby at Ninian Park in 2009. We have to travel back to 1959 for the last time we won by more than a single goal in a league game at Swansea and have only ever won by more than 2 goals on a trip to Swansea in the Welsh cup. We've lost by 3 or more goals there on 5 occasions, twice in recent times.

Manager of Wales does not involve finance it is purely a coaching job.
He can't buy and sell players but can encourage the best out of what we have

Apparently he went bankrupt because he was to free with his money and was ripped off by so called friends and associates.
His finances have nothing to do with football and his outlook on football is very much like Roy Keane. He demands that players put in the same effort as he used too.
Reading the posts on various fan sites this appointment boils down to he must be a bad un because he is from Cardiff.
This reminds me of the Cardiff v Swansea bollocks that meant I gave up watching Wales live over 20 years ago.
Why not support the man he might be a great appointment
