| Forum Reply | Will you be going to one of the Fanzones at St. Mary’s? at 22:15 22 Aug 2024
Will the social credit system affect my purchases at StMarys? For example, if I pull my pink replica shirt over my Lonsdale hoodie and slam the backboards like an enraged captive gorilla while singing FOLLOW FOLLOW FOLLOW then does this mean I'll redeem enough points to enjoy a Sapporo out of a plastic beaker? Also, as is tradition for new posters, what are your top 3 biscuits? |

I believe I did Top 3 biscuits when I joined back in January. Top 3 Spoons: V Shed - Bristol The Moon In The Square - Bournemouth The Albert and Lion - Blackpool None of them however can top The Kingsland Tavern or MELLO MELLO |

1. Seems like all the decent pubs in town were shut due to the threat of far right riots. Frustrating as me and my old man wanted to drink in Steingarten. Ended up having to go in The Standing Order Wetherspoons for cheap pints and microwaved 'food'. 2. Decent view in the Northam Wall but the safe standing has obviously been done on the cheap. Basically just some scaffolding bolted onto the end of the rows. Also, are there meant to be bars outside? There was some sort of structure being built in the car park but no idea if you're meant to get drinks in there. Would be good if that was possible as the queues in the concourse are still big even with a smaller crowd. If I want to get something (which is rare as generally everything they sell is way overpriced) I don't really want to be missing much of the game. 3. Ronnie Edwards, Charly Alcaraz and Ben Brereton Diaz were my standout players. Edwards seemed composed and confident which is impressive for such a young player. Alcaraz was direct and seemed to be the catalyst for all our attacks in the first half. This is a quality that very few players have in our squad and with it seeming more and more unlikely that we will get O'Reilly we should try our hardest to keep Charly. Diaz's goal was taken well and if he gets proper service he could be a great player for us. 4. We have one more friendly left to play and I'm still none the wiser as to what our starting XI will be. I get that it's good to experiment with the team now considering these games don't mean much but it would be nice if we could see an actual spine established. So far, based off our pre season team sheets, the only players who I think are sure to start are Downes and McCarthy. I think we all know what our best backline is but does Martin as it has changed every game. 5. The pink shirt looks even worse in person |

| Forum Reply | Is Matt O'Riley really that good? at 19:14 30 Jul 2024
The figure I've heard we're willing to pay is £35 million That's an awful lot of money for us to spend, especially considering that we could still do with another striker and a GK. Plus losing Charles means we would then have to find another defensive midfielder willing to be second string to Downes. This could prove difficult. Im sure O'Riley has plenty good qualities but when you think about the impact bringing him in will have on the rest of the squad I'm not sure this is the best move for us |

Blocking him on Twitter was one of the best things I've done. I'm not really a fan of blocking people I disagree with as its really quite immature but he is a nob |

Nike use DRIFIT technology on their kits which helps improve breathability via moisture wicking fabric. This will be immensely useful to Rusty when he goes into a cold sweat about playing two full backs at full back. |

But why Ticket Master? Is there any benefit to them doing it rather than the SFC Ticket Office? Personally, I hate Ticket Master. The fees you have to pay on top take the absolute p1ss and I'm not a fan of e-tickets. |

Are we able to count the 2020/21 lockdown season?? If so then I can think of plenty. If not, Iago Falque. Played about 60 minutes at home to Leicester in 2012 then never played again. I didn't go that game. |

What Katie Did by The Libertines F*cking hell its Kamaldeen You're somehow in our team Your price tag is obscene, its obscene 20 mill but all you've got is speed Rusty thinks you're sublime But if you ever scored a goal I think I'd lose my mind And if you said goodbye I'd drink a whole bottle of wine And then do 50 lines. If anyone can tell, I'm not exactly Sulemana's biggest fan |

Ticket office couldn't organise a p1ssup in a brewery. Watching them organise ID checks would be pure comedy. And when they f*ck it up they will go and blame Royal Mail. |
| Forum Reply | Perraud at 14:55 5 Mar 2024
Livramento IMO is an exceptional footballer who was far too good for us. He would walk into most Premier League teams so this seems like a bit of an unfair comparison. Furthermore, I would also say it is a little unfair to be calling Perraud one dimensional. Did a good job in defence and was strong going forward, as proved by his goal contributions in his 2 seasons. As PatfromPoole would say, "He runs runs runs, runs runs down the wing". |

I'm not sure if I've seen anyone actually say that this is a good idea. Spending lots of money to please no one. I for one think it won't work Good stuff Saints. |

Another poor performance. Offered nothing. Well done Rasmus Ankersen, 23 million well spent. Play Dibling instead. Have no idea how we can convince anyone to buy Sulemana though. Clear he does not fit here [Post edited 21 Feb 9:13]

Perhaps he might be able to win the ball back, but Stephens in that role would not help us keep the ball. With all due respect, I've always thought he was far too casual on the ball. Often cost us for a good few seasons by losing concentration. Really, if we had £10 - 15 million to spend on a defensive midfielder (according to The Athletic) then we should have just bought someone better than Charles [Post edited 16 Feb 11:51]

The only two players Martin has used in that role have been Charles and Smallbone. They can't really win the ball nor can they actually get it moving in the same way as Downes, particularly Charles. He's been giving the ball away in every appearance he's made for the past few months and a performance like what he had against Bristol City was bound to come. Complete liability. I would go as far to argue that Martin's whole system begins to collapse without Downes. Your are absolutely right - he is one of, if not our most influential player. |
| Forum Thread | Sulemana at 10:45 14 Feb 2024
Terrible again last night. We spent 23 million on him and got 2 goals in a meaningless game against Liverpool and 3 assists against Leeds. Fair play for the Leeds assists they actually meant something but otherwise I don't see what he offers. To make it worse, Leicester only spent about 8 million on Mavididi. Joke |
| Forum Reply | “Support” last night at 10:38 14 Feb 2024
Completely agree Pat. People just want to be seen singing a lot of the popular ones, including that embarrassing fratton park os falling down drivel. I guess its in hope that someone films them and they can boast about being there or something TLDR: Our "support" is incredibly performative. People only willing to sing about 2 songs a half and think that will do. Does nothing to help the team. |
