| Forum Thread | What three things.... at 20:36 23 Jun 2022
Ok you heathens, if you could choose any 3 points in history, any great historical event to go back and watch live, what would you pick? 1, The building of the great Pyramid at Giza, I just want to know how they did it. 2, Operation Agreement WW2, I've heard the story but I want to see just how in hades my Grandpa survived the amphibious assault of Tobruk. 3, The grassy gnoll, I'd like to find out who actually did shoot JFK. |
| Forum Thread | The Biden blunder at 19:45 20 Jun 2022
Well what a state of affairs, Joe Biden just keeps throwing out gaffe after gaffe or making himself look silly. He now has a lower personal rating than Trump had at his worst, 39%. even his own staff are deserting him because they seem him as an Albatross around their necks https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/white-house-in-turmoil-as-biden-stumbles-fr Then in France we have Macron, a leader also in turmoil. He hasn't a majority and will struggle to get his policies through the French system. Olaf Scholz in Germany has people questioning the Germans credibility after promising weapons for the Ukraine war but failing to deliver. The European Central Bank thinks a crisis may be around the corner, https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/europe-faces-severe-risk-of-disorderly-fin Across the world we are blighted by leaders who are utter rubbish, they cause a mess but then blame everyone else. Every time Bojo has a problem he seems to run to Zelenskiyy as if throwing more aid at Ukraine will distract us from what (well who) really ails us. |

78 years on and they are at the D Day Memorial close to Gold beach. Watching Harry Billinge when he sees it for the first time, when he visited it brings tears to my eyes. You can see what it meant to him. My grandfather landed at Gold (I believe) with 47 Commando, he survived the war. One day I will go to that monument, I need to. Having this today, with what is going on in Ukraine, talking about the horrors of war and the pointless loss of life, it seems very relevant to me. RIP Harry. |
| Forum Thread | No Confidence at 08:22 6 Jun 2022
At last it's happened, there will be a confidence vote on Bojo. I think he could lose, he should lose. I think a lot of MP's will vote against him but many of them weren't brave enough to go public with their opinion in case it affected their careers. That's the self serving kind putting themselves first. it's a secret ballot now though so they can carry on hiding while getting rid of Bojo. Question now is, if he's ousted, who replaces him. desite his recent issues, Sunak? |

His program, "A History of Ancient Britian" is good watching. Epsiode 2 contains what could be a controversial statement. He says that the available evidence shows that the Hunters (5000 years ago) were healthier than the farmers. The hunters with their diet of fish and red deer. Hmm, so is eating meat healthier than not eating meat? It's in episode 2, have a look if you can be bothered. |

Here we go, apparently people shouldn't work from home because cheese and coffee are too distracting! https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/boris-johnson-says-cheese-and-coffee-can-d Alcohol and cake in the political workplace re just fine though and stopping alcohol in Westminster is excessively puritanical according to Kwasi Karteng. Maybe if ALL our politicians had less alcohol they'd do a better job? Maybe they wouldn't fall asleep in Westminster or say and do such blatantly stupid things. |
| Forum Thread | Real v Citeh at 20:11 4 May 2022
What a dsgrace Aymeric Laporte is. He just tried to slap Modric then immediately went down holding his own face. Both players got a yellow card but Laporte hit Modric and then faked an attack on himself, he should have gotten red. What use is VAR if they're not picking up these things? |
| Forum Thread | Leeds v Citeh at 14:46 2 May 2022
Apparently there was much controversy in this game, a clear red card offence by Laporte at 1-0 and several other bad decisions that favoured the Mancs. The referee was Paul Tierney who is from Salford, Greater Manchester. Now I reckon there is no love lost between Leeds and Manchester, how can you appoint a ref from so close to one club? Shouldn't they be choosing refs from further away so there cannot be any accusations? |
| Forum Thread | Sorinola at 18:03 26 Apr 2022
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/swansea-city-transfer He's apparently the "Euro" player we're after. Martin knows him because..yes it's that MK Dons link again, he had him on loan. Sorinola hasn't managed a first team appearance in the Belgian league this season so why is he linked? Is he good enough? More of a worry to me is Brighton looking at Obafemi because I'm sure we'll struggle to keep Piroe and we can't lose both of them, preferably neither but at least one will go, probably both. What strikers are we looking at? Ok there aren't any names being mentioned that I can remember but with Allen going is our transfer plan up in the air? |
| Forum Thread | The best advice? at 20:30 22 Apr 2022
What was the best advice you were ever given? I have been lucky and had some great advice but the best I think was a friend who gave me some parenting advice just after our son was born. He told me not to miss a thing because you don't get a second chance. Don't miss a birthday for work, or a school sports day, christmas concert or Easter parade, once they're gone, they're gone and you'll never get another chance at that age. We didn't miss anything, maybe that's why we have such a great relationship with our son. My friends son is 28 now and they are best mates. I hope my son and I are like that. |
