Tension? He's a manager of a team who are pissing the league. His actions were very unprofessional. |

So by saying that if the derby draw costs them the title it's olivers fault (considering that they were iirc 8pts clear and no one likely to catch them) isnt childish and arrogant? He's worse than ferguson, at least it took a few years for fergie to start intimidating the PL and refs, it's taken slot 7 months, its pretention at it's worst. |

What it again, he runs towards the player whilst playing on for about 2 seconds m, he then stops play and goes towards the injured player, As I've said it happened so quick that no one could know what part of the keeper hit him, when i first watched it without knowing I had no idea what put him down, it was only when i saw the replay that I saw how bad it was, exactly what oliver could see. Oliver used VAR because he couldn't have known what exactly happened, he saw it once and gave the red card, the player got immediate attention after oliver stopped play about 2 seconds after the incident. So imo he isnt a disgrace, what he did was spot on. |

I am not saying he didn't see his foot up high, I am saying it happened that quick no one could see what actually connected, when I first saw it at normal speed I couldn't make out what connected but after seeing in a slow mo replay I thought wow ffs, that's why imo oliver did the same, used VAR. As I've said before if there hadn't been VAR I bet oliver would have given the keeper the benefit of the doubt as it was so early in the game, that's why I'm a massive advocate of VAR. |

He needed VAR because as I've said previously that it happened so quickly plus oliver was right behind the Palace striker so he didn't have a clear view. This incident shows how VAR works, if it didn't exist there would be a chance that the keeper might have got a yellow as it happened so early in the game. |

It happened that fast there was no way he could see what part of the keeper hit the Palace player. He let play go on for a couple of seconds, he stopped play and went straight upto the Palace player to see how he was. Imo oliver was totally in the right in having a look at VAR, if there wasn't VAR the keeper might have got away with a yellow as it was early in the game, it didn't take him long to decide it was a red. Btw I'm surprised the Palace player wasn't knocked out completely. |
