Poll: Bony´s lack of goals, whose to blame ?.

Credit where it's due he looked a completely different player to the one at Villa.

As a team I don't think we played all that differently, we mostly kept it on the deck and played it into him with his back to goal, the improvement was mostly all down to him, his movement was good and unpredictable, he used his upper body strength to good effect and his confidence came with his first touch.

It was an inspired performance out of no where, his best since signing for us IMO. If he could perform half that good with some consistency I'd be delighted, his finish at the end was a worldie.

Aye, I really hope this performance will keep him full of confidence - a goal or two against ManU and he will be well worth the investment to keep us in the league.

If Bony and Michu start to gel.....oh my

he was awesome today. big and strong and deadly.yum yum.

And what is good Phaedrus, and what is not good. Need we ask anyone to tell us these things?

City didn't park the bus until it was 3 - 1 and that gave us space to work in.
We need ways of breaking down teams that come to defend (or stay at home to defend).

Absolutely brilliant performance. Where the heck did that come from.

He was unplayable and with a bit more luck could have had 3 or 4 goals today.

If we continue to perform like that then we should have no fear of relegation.

On a less positive note... Neither Tremmel or Routledge are Premier League players

I respectfully disagree with your comment that we didn't "pay all that differently." The huge difference was that Bony did NOT nail his boots to the "D," and midfielders got up closer to the goal and to Bony.

He amply demonstrated his football skills and intelligence and his quickness of mind and feet. Four super shots, two goals.

If they will play like that, he'll score a basketful.

Superb Well Done, Bony and team!

I don't care. I'm old. I don't have to.

Difference was Shelvey played off him rather than 15 yards behind.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

"The huge difference was that Bony did NOT nail his boots to the "D,"

Yeah as I said in the previous comment his movement was good.

The midfield pushed up in support at Villa at times too and even today we didn't provide him with any clear cut 1 on 1 chances, hence the improvement being all down to him. His movement, his first touch, his passing and his striking ability was the difference maker.

Excellent in defence as well.Lost count the number of times he cleared with his head from Citeh corners.Superb performance and thos goals will surely spur him on to better things.Confidence and a partner up front works wonders.

So because he's scored a couple today, it's where did that come from? He plays that way every game but because he doesn't always score people think he had a bad game. There was some clown on here the other day that reckoned he couldnt hold the ball up, bring other players in too. I despair at some of ours.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

Even with the goals aside, that performance was still a level or two above what we've seen this season. Everything about him today looked a £12m player. Hold up play, link up play, heading, movement.... finishing. Absolute class.

He is clearly a confidence player. Following his goals against Stoke he visibly raised his game and had a spring in his step for the rest of the match and looked very exciting.... but the international break followed and he picked up an injury right after it which I think knocked him again. Hopefully he'll be given a run of games by the manager now and will have the opportunity to find some consistency. What we saw today was very exciting

World class today.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

The main difference is that our Wilfred has lost a few pounds and looks sharper and has got his confidence back.

Let's be honest he has been well below what we all expected for the money but today showed what he is all about.

Now then that's play with that intent for the rest of the season and we will be well clear of the bottom

I'll stand by what i said, the only difference today was he hit the back of the net, his all round play was no different to any other game. The goals just highlight the fact.

Naha, he was superb today, he looked far more confident , took the ball turned drove at the defense and committed defenders.

That was much much better

Sorry but Absolute nonsense in my view,

He was hungry today, looked like a goal scoring striker, got into good positions and attacked the ball... Looked strangely confident and continually WANTED the ball, he looked fitter and quicker.

This is a completely different player to the one I've been watching every week this season...

Finally it looks like he has found his feet in the PL, I hope he kicks on from this now and continues this kind of performance week in week out for the rest of the season.

I was looking forward to creating a thread on how perhaps it was inappropiate of him to be in Oceana late last night, but he performed very well today and so I wont mention it. We don't want any more 'I saw Danny Graham in Oceana last night' type threads on here.

Hes getting a run of games and minutes on the pitch...

Yes, of course, you are right, he definitely got noticeably quicker and fitter since boxing day. Dew dew mun.

I'll say it again and again, Bony has been playing well all season, he may have an off game now and again, but on the whole he has been good. He scores 2 and all of a sudden he's a different player. Away with you.

He's done just about as well as he can do given the service and support he gets. Was good today so he did well. It ain't rocket surgery.
