They're delaying their attacks so our forwards come back to defend, because they know they can play through us regardless, and don't want to leave their centrebacks against pace.

That or they're treating it like the meaningless fixture it is.

Great second half from wales, just need the ref to keep his whistle to himself.
2-1.
Tried to give a dodgy penalty, thankfully VAR ruled it out after he had a look.

Well I'm watching and I have to ask, what did the ref just do First he gave a penalty then checked VAR and it was clearly not a penalty but it should have been corner and he gave a goal kick.....the ball was clearly kicked out by a Welsh foot, what the?

have I missed a major rule change or something?

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

He gave a drop ball as he'd incorrectly stopped the game for the non-penalty.

Let’s not forget Wales from their recent international displays over two years are now at the top table for these nations league games. By winning games and the last group.Hence the more difficult ties. It’s been a tremendous continuation of success since 2016 for our country.

Ok we lost but this is a side which will give the English a rash or two. That’s the competition that matters.

A win against Poland and Wales will stay in the top division.

A defeat for England in Italy tomorrow will see them relegated still plenty to play for.

Plus a World Cup to look forward to and 2 Euro qualifications to look back on.

Not forgetting Germany 2024 with s bit of luck.
Don't worry be happy.

Morrell should never ever be in the squad......

He gives the ball away & makes to many costly errors.....

Brennan is special though...

Ah, it was a drop ball but still, it should have been a corner shouldnt it? A corner would have een the correct decision in the first place and the game had stopped because the ball went out of play?

I clearly wasn't paying close enough attention, I rarely do when it's not the Swans and even then, if it's a bad game i drift.

Thanks for the clarity Jasper, thankfully somebody is paying attention!

Technically the incident occurred before the ball went out of play, so the game stopped when the ref blew and pointed for a penalty. I'm pretty sure it's the correct decision even if it doesn't feel right. Anything that happened after the tackle effectively didn't happen.

What about the Bale booking. As he was disputing the penalty should that be rescinded.

Getting in the ref's face like that isn't allowed. Doesn't matter when you do it or who was right about a decision.

Fastest closing down Bale did all game.

Fair enough, but I wish Grimes would do it a bit more.
