I'm seriously shocked that May and Johnson would attend this unveiling, not least due to her welcoming of Hitler and his 'solutions' as a potential way of dealing with Jews. It can't be denied either, there are hundreds of written examples signed by her.

The statue was put up by a Labour council, something you seem to be quiet about.
Astor was antisemitic vermin. She was also first female MP to sit in HoC. I despise the former whilst respect the latter. I get why the statue was there, don't agree with it at all. Same as I despise "Roald Dahl" day because others seem to believe works / deeds outweigh antisemitism.

The problem with this and Dahl is separating work from their personal racist views. Statue celebrating first sitting female MP? Great.
