During the BT Southampton v Man U game today I thought they said that Michael Oliver was the VAR official, and they have just said during the Sky Burnley v Liverpool that he’s doing it there as well. How’s that work then?
He's sat in a truck in the Refs training park I believe. Feet up sipping coffee eating donuts. VAR officials aren't at the respective games they have video links
Not sure about these games but in the Women's World Cup I heard a game played in Montpellier had its VAR team in Paris. 600 miles away. So maybe they are central for multiple games!
VAR HQ is at Stockley Park in south West London, and every Premier League manager was invited there during the summer to be briefed on how the system will work.
