Very smart move. All that experience (and even enhanced with the gig in Glasgow) - he will be an inspiration and role-model on and off the field. If on the bench - coming on for last 20 or so to perhaps shore it up if necessary, will be brilliant for us. Always prided himself on his fitness throughout his career.

This is of course excellent news but I have to smile a bit.

Even when we are having a good start to the season the date on which we send for Clint Hill seems to come earlier every year.

For what he will bring off the fie;d, in the changing room, on media --- loving this.

For a few cameo roles -- loving it.

We just need to ensure people don't think he's the answer
We also need to understand that Clint's heart lays up in Liverpool and I'm sure he'll be dividing his time up with that in mind

He's doing his badges so hopefully we are helping with that so it's a two ay street.

Before he went to the other Rangers, he was living in Windsor.

His children went to same school as my Niece's children.

He said recently his next move had the kids and family in mind as he'd relocated to Liverpool after Glasgow

I think it may have been in the recent podcast where he commented on the Hughesless attitude to his mates testimonial?????

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Cheers LB, yes didn't see that.

I'll have to ask my Niece if she sees him picking up the kids again!

Something has got to go very wrong soon... I'm very uncomfortable with all the positivity

We could only scrape a 5 - 0 win today

Strong and stable my arse.

He played well. Won literally every header, put in many blocks on shots/crosses and led by example. Spoke to him a he walked around the touchline and he said he was knackered !!

Probably less TF, more needs must and an obvious option. Perch out long term, Hall similar, Caulker hungover and Robinson injury prone. Even Baptise has been injured a lot last few years. Hill and Phillips behind the existing 1st team options makes sense as emergency numbers in case we get really unlucky.

Plus we have a young squad and you know exactly what you're going to get with him on and off the pitch - excellent man to have off the pitch around the squad.

Yeh . i'm only really basing it on his interview at the Game for Grenfell, where he sounded genuinely interested in taking a look at him with a view to getting him back.
I'm sure if Les or Ollie wasnt keen then it wouldnt happen or Penrice for that matter. Agree we all know what your gonna get with Clint and it makes perfect sense to get him back.
He shouldnt of gone in the first place really.

I suppose today is the first time that (in a football sense) Ollie and Clint have met each other.

Could be Ollie will see so much of that enthusiasm and resilience he keeps talking about in Clint.

Remember that story Ollie tells about when Gerry signed him, saying he didn't think he was going to get many games but hoping his characteristics would "rub off" on the rest of the squad.

It's very good news. Hopefully can help us out at the back when necessary, and help the development of our youth team centre halves. In return maybe we can help him get his badges and get into coaching. I imagine it's a very small financial outlay for us, of anything at all yet.

And more QPR related people involved in the club, which is great.

Always recall being impressed by his attitude when signing autographs for the kids at the Loft end when he'd just signed under NW. Good pro and a nice bloke.

I'd hope this is due to him wanting to be up North.

If not I think that's a hatrick of slaps in the face for him from the club
