The walking dead - a question on 03:08 - Mar 6 with 2734 views | phact0rri | in the comics he's not overly interesting. afraid or crying most of the time, and playing a distressed damsel mostly. after the war and the new beginning stuff he gets a church to get off too.

The walking dead - a question on 09:24 - Mar 6 with 2684 views | blueytheblue | Well, I've no doubt a certain character will be appearing before the end of the series. Given his language and ultra-violence, quite how they write him in will be... interesting.

Eh... My problem is I love the show. Absolutely love it - yes, it differs from the graphic novels in places, but Kirkman has stated he sees the TV series as a way to correct mistakes he made. For example, in the graphic novels, Rick had his hnd cut off by the Governor soon after they met. TV, there was the slow build to show the evil of the Governor, whereas it was apparent from the first scene in the graphic novel. So I'd love to talk all about it... I just don't want to spoil it for anyone. What I would say is you've seen the group be somewhat trusting. Acting on good faith - which has always had dire consequences. They've been on a war footing ever since yet are weary for a home - a real home, a real community. Alexandria is certainly a community - but in what way have communities evolved in the 3 or so years since the Zombie Apocalypse started? Are Alexandrians clinging to the old ways, keeping a semblance of "normality" in a crazy scenario? Have they achieved something other groups have failed to do? Is there a quid pro quo for new people joining - or is Rick's group in particular special to Alexandria?

The walking dead - a question on 17:22 - Mar 6 with 2576 views | Thursday | I haven't watched this season past the mid-season hiatus. I've been occupied with Better Call Saul and catching up on Workaholics, which I missed the first time around. TWD has been limping along this season. After playing through The Last of Us for the first time, it's going to be a while before I catch up on the rest of the season. [Post edited 6 Mar 2015 17:24]

If every episode was a peak episode, Dazza, it would be one paced. The episode worked for what it was intended to be. Having been in "war mode" for most of the past few years, here is seemngly an established community. A safe place, zombie threat seemingly nullified. Civilisation. Can the group adapt - Rick in particular? Was there a reason for Rick gaining a position of pwer at the end? Why was Carol's interview at odds with her character change over the seasons - hiding her real feelings? As a setup episode ( admittedly, knowing what comes next ) it was effective.

Perhaps you should take a peak at series 2 again, the Farm was mainly mind numbingly boring but again set up 2/3 episodes very well

Hmmm, nah. First series under Darabont was fairly slow. The last few episodes were precisely what they needed to be. The zombies aren't the danger in the new world after all. No episode containing the seminal "We are the Walking Dead" speech can ever be poor ;)

The walking dead - a question on 18:54 - Mar 6 with 2518 views | blueytheblue | Don't know when the spin off will be out, guess late this year? Why do a British one when there are enough British actors already in the series ;) Reminds me, here's one for Dazza - Andrew Lincoln ( Rick Grimes ) is the the son in law of which famous musician?

Indeed, Ian Anderson is the fella. Thought you'd enjoy that factoid - I found out around 6 months or so ago whilst reading Classic Rock, where Ian Anderson was interviewed and it was mentioned.
