Can someone please explain why AC Milan have bought him off Chelsea only to loan him to Atletico until the end of the 2015/16 season. I see an Italian player is coming their way in exchange but I don't really see why they had to buy Torres when they clearly don't want him.

I hope he does well there, his career decline has been sad and he is one of my favourite players. If anyone can sort him out it will be Simeone he worked wonders on Costa.

He made is debut there as a 17 year old, he said on Instagram "back home it's a dream come to true......the club is obviously special to him.

Chelsea wouldn't sanction the deal unless he was sold. Athletics didn't want to buy him outright, but really wanted the winger.
