Three Wins From Glory Tuesday, 20th Mar 2012 23:13
My prediction for wins needed to take us to the Premier is still right on track with what I stated in November.
Saints fourth successive win on the road means that they could be as little as three wins from a Premier place, if they were to win only three and draw two of their last eight it would leave Reading having to win six of their last eight and West Ham seven from nine which for both clubs would be an enormous task as they have to play each other in eleven days time.
The trick now is to win our home games, if we win all four there would surely be no doubt, given that Reading is one of those, either way the win at Hull has really put us in the driving seat with results elsewhere going our way.
The finishing line is now well within our sights, let's not be nervous but finish the season with the confidence of champions, if we do promotion could well be sealed when Pompey visit.

this win was enourmous tonight. And with Reading finally losing, West Ham continuing their draws and various play-off contendors also losing (Leeds, Birmingham, etc), it couldnt have gone more our way if we tried. I am always wary of getting my hopes up that Saints can win the title (being a saints fan, you have to be used to us doing it the hard way), but this was the first time I can see us actually achieving our goal now! Our best run of form this season, just like last season and just when we need it. What a superb night for results - from "we are top of the league" to "we are going up"!! COYR

If we do what we have done in the reverse fixtures in the remaining games we'll get 15 points from our remaining 8 games. Personally I think we need to win 4 more games. Had us down for 92 points at the halfway stage, and it's still on, though probably more than we'd need. The thing is though not to get complacent. We've thrown away good chances to pull away earlier in the season and let's not forget Doncaster have already beaten us this season and got results against Reading and West Ham. The stage is nearly set, but that is all at the moment..

And as Jos said last night let's pack out St Mary's for the last 4 home games. Let's get the ground feeling like a Premiership ground again and let the players know what this means to us all. COYR.

I agree with bstokesaint. Lets not get carried away too soon, sure last night was great for us and things are looking very good, but let's still take one game at a time and when we are mathamatically sure, it will be party time. In the meantime keep the support going and enjoy the ride.
