It's bus replacement from Witham to Newbury Park with Greater Anglia. Only 40 miles! I'm yet to decide whether I'm driving to Gants Hill or Epping, but I expect to make the pub by 1.30 at the latest. |

Is this you posting Mr Norman? Or a different texasranger? |

Do I believe/care about any article from footballleagueworld? No. Do I think that Sheffield United could enquire about Jimmy? Yes. I doubt that anyone on this board has any idea as to whether the club have agreed a deal with Dunne, whether they have offered him a new contract that has been turned down, or whether the player has no intention of signing a new contract. If we have agreed a new contract, brilliant. If we are still negoiating, hopefully we're not a long way apart & a compromise can be found. However, the last scenario would need careful handling! Not receiving any fee for a Jimmy as a free agent would be a blow for Rangers & should be taken into account on any salary offer made by us. There is also the possibility that the highest wage we can afford is a lot lower than the player values himself. IF that is the case, then Dunne would have to decide whether to accept an offer from Sheffield United (or anyone else) at present or hope to receive something better from a different club in the summer. That would also risk the chance of an injury ruining his future. Unless the club has decided to say goodbye this summer (good luck in explaining that to supporters!), any move is totally in the hands of Jimmy Dunne. We could not force him to accept a move this January even if it was in our interests for him to leave! I have no doubt that he has enjoyed his time with us & has a soft spot for the club, but that won't/shouldn't influence his choice. After all, he chose to leave United & Burnley even though they had given his career major boosts. |

I'm another who would have had Mick in the side rather than John Hollins. That maybe bias on my part though! Promotion season 1967/68 & Mick scored important goals in our last three games. The equalliser at Ipswich with (possibly) the last touch of the game, the first against Birmingham & then he made it 1-1 at Villa Park. Moving from centre forward to midfield changed him from being a "villian" to a hero. |

Sky are showing all of them, as they did the first game of the season. This applies to all matches due to be played on Bank Holidays as well. |

But we will drop to tenth tomorrow night! Wednesday playing Bristol City means one of these will go above us. |

Absolute respect for everyone who went to Hull or Plymouth. Those that did both should be given a free ticket for an upcoming away game. |

I think Burnley is our last home game. Perhaps we can prevent them being automatically promoted as we did Leeds last season. No doubt it will be an 8.00pm kick off on the Friday night! |

Cheers Clive & I hope that you were all civil to the referee in the pub! Yes, we missed 5 chances that we should have scored, with Edwards being the hardest of them, but we created 5 clear goal scoring chances. That is something I couldn't envisage two months ago. Indeed, I said in the pub pre match against Stoke that the only way we would score was from an own goal! Obviously, it won't be the same number going to Hull midweek, but I expect we've sold at least double the number of tickets I would expect. Hopefully, you have another good night. |

I've no idea how the law is worded or why they don't have to change the 'keeper, but this isn't the first time this has happened. I'm sure the lawmakers applied some logic in implementing this, but it's outside of my understanding! |

I'm fairly sure it was the outside of his right foot & curled away from the 'keeper. Not that i would care if it had been a toe poke! |

Clarke-Salter & Fox didn't look very good as a partnership at Swansea. If Dunne was going to play at right back, Edwards is the natural choice for the right side. Personally I'd have played JCS instead of Fox, but Fox played well against Norwich & Luton. |

Is that true about the best win percentage? I don't doubt that it is in the EFL, but surely Brian Lee & Martin O'Neill would be higher? Both were managers when your club paid the highest wages in the Isthmian/Conference leagues. I used to play against the father of Matt Bloomfield in the Ipswich Sunday Morning League & have vaguely followed his career. Is he the main reason that the animosity between Colchester & WW has decreased? [Post edited 18 Jan 12:11]

The same day as the transfer window Brian. I assume 31st January. |

Really? You want Lloyd & Kolli to go out on loan & leave us just with Frey? Or is Dillon going straight into the squad? |

No arguments from me with that Lblock, especially racking up the points quickly, although I think that 52 is too high for the "accepted safety total". It's the games against the sides below us that concern me rather than those above us! |

My position is that as a supporter & player, I've always regarded the first goal of any season is mathmatically being safe fron relegation. We have a long way to go to achieve this. What I can't understand though is your continuous choice of needing 53 points to stay up & that we won't draw any games! I would say that avoiding defeat in 15 matches (minimum of 47 points) is more likely to be enough. Do I think we will do that? No, but there is a very good chance we will win a few, thus increasing the number of games we can lose. Personally, I don't like the look of next week & I would feel more optimistic if we were playing Sheffield United rather than Wednesday! |

Juventus were also automatically relegated. |
