If yoy're released/paid off from your contract outside the transfer window, you would have had your contract paid in full or an agreed amount. Are you not technically still employed during that period? You certainly could not claim unemployment benefit. |

It was Bill Power that greatly increased the prices for the 04/05 season & again for 05/06. I remember Tracy Stent writing to the club to inform them that her family would not be able to afford the season tickets & posted the contents online. Perhaps that was on a different message board? Then along came Briatore with his platinum, gold, silver & bronze areas! |

Davy Crockett, in the late 50's. It was being shown at the Astoria in Chesham (closed in 1959) & my father took the three of us. I assume my mother wanted us all out of the way! I think this was the only time I went to that cinema & we then had The Embassy available for another thirty years. I think Summer Holiday was the first I saw there & that A Hard Day's Night was the first I went to by myself. |

I think the pricing is good, but unfortunately I won't make this or the Millwall match as I'm having my gallbladder removed on the 16th, but I should be home to watch our two victories on Sky! |

I certainly thought Morrison was, but I quoted what was stated on the offie. Perhaps they are mentioned in a different statement? |

Four players are in international squads - Celar, Smyth, Kolli & Tuck. |
| Forum Reply | International break at 09:58 2 Sep 2024
Yes, that would seem probable. Paal playing for Suriname should be another. |
| Forum Reply | International break at 09:50 2 Sep 2024
Who is away on international duty? I'm sure there are others, but I can only recall seeing Morrison being named as having been called up. |

We know that Clive was feeling ill last week & I've not seen any post from him since he posted the match preview for Friday night. Does anyone know if he is feeling any better? Best wishes if you're still on the way back to health Clive. |

I've not placed a bet since 2013, but I won approx £300 on a 50p Lucky 15. I usually had all 4 horses win at least once a year, but the returns never came close to this amount. I'm sure that my accumulated stakes were far more than my winnings though! |

Agree with everything on this thread, but I would like to add that Celar also looks to improve every time he steps on the pitch. |

It was meant as a genuine comment, but it definitely should be in the glossary! That means I was guilty in using it in this thread |
| Forum Reply | LFW Message Board Glossary at 10:54 30 Aug 2024
I've not read through the whole thread yet, so apologies if this has been said. Forest (or any other club/player) is guilty of (you name it). This will mean a fine & points deduction for Queens Park Rangers. |

Anyone would think that the deep playing, false number 9, role is something new! I've no idea when, or who, introduced it, but the Hungarian team that won 6-3 & 7-1 against England in 1953 employed it. Perhaps having a player as brilliant as the team, Nándor Hidegkuti, made this work. Don Revie played the same role at Manchester City. It is possible that Herbert Chapman had his Huddersfield & Arsenal ( 6 times champion between them) teams played this way as well. |

"There won't be many going home If there's any, There won't be many going home" The standout for me was in welcoming the goalkeeper to the Loft End. At every ground they were applauded, but we greeted them with F* FU* FUC* F*** OFF We were a very friendly crowd in the 60's! |

Is this any different to our reaction of being drawn against Luton? I enjoyed the "VAR" decision on the "handball" from Paal! |

He played well at Cambridge as well. |

Luton definitely had more attacking pocession, but Lloyd & Madsen had the clearest chances. Yes, Walsh made some good saves, but I can't recall any save in the 90 minutes that he wouldn't have been expected to make as he is good 'keeper. We finished stronger than we started. Luton didn't. |
