The problem with the games over here is that you get fans of all the teams in the NFL,which dilutes the atmosphere a bit I reckon.For some fans it’s their only chance of seeing a live NFL game,but if you watched the same game in the states you’d only get fans of the two teams playing.
Every year I say that I’ll get over to Miami to watch the dolphins live,but the prices are just ridiculous to watch a 1 game of American football. |

It reminds me of the first time that Terry Mancini played for Ireland and didn’t know that the anthem being played was the Irish one.I think Brian mentioned it before that it was our own Don Givens who put him straight.
Are any anthems respected by opposing fans any more?Its all a bit pathetic to boo an anthem surely. |

I can’t get mine as it’s supposedly in the family stand even though it’s been in the safe standing for over a year.And you can’t get through to the box office by phone.Plenty of time yet though. |

They did that in the last round and how many took advantage of it?
You also have to charge away fans the same price so it would mean best part of £30k being lost just on away tickets alone.
I am one of the lucky ones who are over 63 and a season ticket holder too,so I can’t personally complain at the prices.
I do feel for those who are priced out though,but we have to balance the books somehow. [Post edited 4 Sep 9:52]

Four seasons of premier league money helps to subsidise ticket prices against lower league opposition in the early rounds of a cup competition.
We’ll have to wait and see how big the crowd is for our game before deciding whether they got the prices right or not. |

I went to see them at Wembley in 2000 and the place was full of pissed up lads wanting a fight with people who challenged their behaviour.I don’t suppose it will have changed much in 25 years.Probably more nose candy and a bigger sense of entitlement than 25 years ago are reasons why I’m almost glad that I missed out on tickets this time.Unless you go in the seats of course. |

I just looked at trains from Liverpool to Burnley and it’s about 1 hour 45 minutes with a change at Preston.There are 2-3 trains a hour on Saturdays.Fare is about £27,although you could possibly get it cheaper by booking in advance. |
