My ST in T Block will be available on general sale, I'm hoping I've got just enough annual leave to squeeze in the midweek league home games before Christmas but I haven't got enough to make the trip for extra midweek fixtures. |

End of the day working in the NBA with Brooklyn Nets is a much bigger and (probably) better paid opportunity than a job with QPR in the Championship.
Not going to be much more to it than that. Change happens all the time in the working world. |

Not the most objective highlights from Sky...match stats say 11 shots each, 5-4 on target to them. Yet they've only shown us have 3 attempts on there and seem to have shown every Luton attack going!

I did Wormwood Scrubs parkrun at the weekend and was told the Linford Christie track is due to be resurfaced later this year, which suggests the council have no intention of the current facility being remodelled a la QPR stadium with a track on the side if they're pouring thousands into a new running surface.
All been quiet there anyway, I assume we've given up by now. Lovely big space though, haven't been round there for years. |

Suggesting any ex-player who was half decent for us and is now available on a free transfer should be brought back in, regardless of whether they've played 10 or 100 games since they left us and were or weren't any good for other clubs. |

If we signed a guy who scored 37 goals in 165 games as a striker (one ever 4.45 games on average) in 4 years at his prior club we'd all be saying, to a tee, "WTF?" and "this is a risk".
So really we can't be sad at losing a striker with that record. |

I don't like to brag, but I have had wildly successful spells as QPR manager on various Microsoft Excel computer based football management platforms, which also had some conquering spells in Europe.
What do you mean you don't remember?

Is the right sort etc...but 37 goals in 165 games is an appalling return for a striker, no dressing it up. It won't be a big loss if he goes. Frey and Celar may not prove to be better...but they're certainly not worse. |

At work this week we had a VAT compliance visit from HMRC.
One of the guys turned up looking like he'd just come straight off the golf course - cotton shirt, white trousers, loafers and a flat cap. Add to that they turned up at 10.15am and were gone by 3pm! Dreadful standards. |

Not strictly true though is it? More often than not the club still pays a transfer fee, just it goes to the player as a signing on fee rather than the club he's leaving.
This is why Ryan Manning has left his last two clubs after running down contracts and Chris Willock has just done exactly the same. |

I think Northern has said previously there is still a Fans Forum scheduled for September? Be interesting to see what happens there, bit harder to control the narrative on that one, I can't imagine all the attendees will be pre-vetted! Unless it ends up being pre-submitted questions only rather than open mic. |

Looking at the team from Saturday the obvious choice is Kolli and Smyth out, and Saito and Dembele in.
Then when Chair is back you have a front 4/5/6 to rotate from - Andersen isn't going to have the legs to do 40+ games I don't think, with his prior injury records. |

One thing I did see in the first half yesterday from my vantage point in Ellerslie was a WBA fan in a wheelchair getting told off by stewards because he spent one of our attacks turning the lights on his wheelchair onto a flashing mode. I found it distracting seeing it from the stand!

I must admit from a selfish perspective the 12.30s work quite well for me for travelling from Leicester, allows me to be home earlier and feels like I have more day to play with after.
That said I don't have kids, where Saturday morning hobbies would interfere with travel to getting to the game so I understand why those who are clobbered by that would be irritated.
Its the 5.30s I really dread as I end up not getting home til about 10pm on a Saturday which is a right ballache.
I thought the atmosphere was alright yesterday actually but I think it was probably first game boisterousness as much as anything. |
