Apologies if this has been discussed already but Jimmy Dunne being skipper yesterday was interesting , especially with Cook and JCS on the pitch .
What do we think that’s about ?
Jimmy has been great under MC but the other 2 are more obvious choices I would have thought but I could be wrong .
Is there a possibility that JCS could be sold before the season gets going ? Is it likely that Cook might not play every game ?

Read an awful lot of cr*p this week by people claiming we are safe and when people said “well not quite”, they got dogs abuse .
Well, welcome back to reality . I stayed quiet in the week because if I’ve learnt one thing in my 49 years watching this poxy club, is that it’s never over until it’s over.
The players played today like they thought we were safe too. We may have won over Easter but we didn’t play well. Coming into a poor run at the wrong time ?
Lose Tuesday and we are right in the sh*t again with 4 very tough games to go .
Pressure back on mainly because of attitude and desire . |

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but what did people think of Colbacks nonsense with the Blackburn fans? Always worry that football karma will get you if you start giving the “crying” signs with your hands to the opposing fans. Last person to do that was Austin at Derby and our season derailed from there.
Also Clive and others have been banging on all season that Colback has been trying to get bookings and suspensions. Hard not to argue that when he deliberately lobs the ball into the crowd to waste time . So lucky for him Paal was down injured as the ref would have almost certainly booked him and of course he gets another ban .
Ridiculous and stupid from a player who is actually starting to click into gear and look like a good asset at last. |

Reached the point of total despair with this absolute joke of a club.
Been run amateurishly on every level, from the very top to the very bottom and everything in between for the last 30 years and now here we are ….with so much wrong on the pitch it’s indescribable to outsiders and the club hoisting themselves with their own petard regarding a new ground and debts and a tonne of other bull sh*t.
Backed into a dark dark dark corner where we can’t afford to sack a manager so out of his depth he’s been washed out to sea.
How badly has this squad of players been put together?
No joined up thinking and no clue from anybody over recent years . Only Warburton had the faintest idea and he wasn’t exactly sir Alex .
I don’t know what the answer is . Because this squad is so thin and so fragile and so poor I’m afraid we have to put up with it . And that’s the bit I’ve had enough of. The owners of this club loading this on us year after year .
They should all be ashamed.
I’d get rid of it was up to me now and try (I know ..who would want to come into this mess) and bring in Gary O’Neil . Or anyone actually who can form a plan |

Was pondering , that would Ainsworth’s job be safer if we went down rather than actually staying up?
I wonder if the owners have seen enough of him in this division to maybe suggest that they could do better ? Whereas he is proven in League 1 and would probably have a better knowledge of what E might need rather than preparing for another season in the championship.
Obviously depends on DOF plus many other factors .
Just occurred to me that potentially we could have a situation where the manager benefits from failure .
Can’t wait to stop thinking about relegation whether we survive or not |

Taken me a while to let that performance sink in. I felt stunned at full time as did other members of my family who I was with.
It’s hard to know where to start but I’ll say this: I see people saying that the players are trying and there is no lack of effort .
Sorry, the majority of this lot are phoning it in..faking it. They run around and look like they are giving it their all but they are not . As an ex player, I can assure you they are not .
I didn’t see any urgency, any real fight, any aggression or any sort of aim or direction.
It’s all very well giving the odd fist bump amongst the back 5 because we miraculously hadn’t conceded in the first 10 minutes ..but it’s fake . It’s for our benefit.
I remember Roy Keane on tv saying even if the game is going badly ..smash into someone , make a stand ..just to make yourself feel better if nothing else.
But there was nothing. No shouting at each other to drive each other on, no nothing .
Especially from the captain . Both physically and mentally he is shot ..done.
He is not fit to lead this team and as I’ve mentioned before , I wonder if he is part of the problem in the dressing room .
Not heard great things about him around the club .
We can go into the manager until the cows come home…but I think the penny dropped today that this lot are done. They have nothing left to give .
The inquest must now start on who and how we could assemble such classless, unprofessional, soft and gutless bunch as this .
A few of them care , but the others are faking it …or blatantly not giving a shit…either way, it will put us back decades.

What’s his next move here?
Reading between the lines you can tell he was very angry last night but he knows damn well that he has to walk on egg shells with this precious bunch. He will be all too aware of what they did to NC when he dared to publicly criticise them. He used words like weak last night which to me tells you his real mindset and not just his media voice.
After seeing the lineup last night before kick off I was surprised he didn’t make at least a couple of changes, for example he openly said Dozzell wanted to come off Saturday because he was knackered (huge red flag anyway that several members of our squad can’t play 90 bloody minutes), but in hindsight, if he had made changes and we got pumped 6-1 we’d all be saying he shouldn’t change a winning team .
Same team , same formation …it can’t always be the manager and we are once again realising the impossible job NC had.
Personally I hope he is tearing strips off of this bunch privately. Some of them are nothing but con men . You can’t do what you did Saturday and then serve up that garbage 72 hours later .
Getting this lot up and the same as last Saturday against Birmingham seems almost impossible now .
I hope he was in with LF this morning tearing strips off of him too. Imagine having to work with this lot on a daily basis ?
GA being here also means that we now have to stop shopping in the premier league A & E department. You need to fit to play the way he wants and this lot ain’t no where near it . Was invited into it yesterday after the game which was the last thing I wanted to do.
My thoughts : it’s a cupboard with a lick of paint with a poor soul standing behind a 3 foot long shelf (the bar) serving drinks .
The idea , I think , is to hire it and watch the game from? 3 out of 5 windows you can’t see the whole pitch . I don’t get it at all

That’s only about a third (roughly) of that section .
And that’s what annoyed me about Lee Hoos’ slight contempt in his interview last week. Poorly or not he has given up on the next generations of supporters . Where are they? The club need to do so much more to entice youngsters to come and watch us play .

Willock has been covered already this evening but the Clarke-Salter one annoyed me just as much when I heard at 2pm today. Are they really constantly injured or have some of them thrown the towel in here?
And as for Taylor Richards now being injured??? How can that be ?
