Read the inside track on Viera leaving in The Atheltic today. Roberts ability questioned by the Senior players who didn't take to him.
Educating coaches and actually managing/coaching players is two different things. And that Palace experience now has to be a huge red flag for him. |

If the NFL played without player protection the season would be cancelled within weeks as everyone would be injured. It's not the same as rugby. You don't have to arm tackle. You can blind side hit someone and the regular stops mean the pace of each play is as vicious as the previous one. Many red card offences in rugby would be legal in the NFL. |

How many times does this nonsense about Cooper not being backed have to be trotted out?
He was lucky to have Ayew propping up the squad for the 2 years otherwise we would have finished around where we did last season. |

Bidwell isn't fit to lace Manning's boots. A much better footballer. Bidwell is extremely limited.
Manning is so good on the ball he will offer something wherever you put him. RM has learnt defensively not dplid enough to play in a back 3 but he can offer us a lot as full back or a winger on occasions.
Prefer proper pace in those wide areas but he's played really well last 2 games. |

Ntcham is exactly as he was at Celtic. He will turn up when he decides he wants to. He's not going to change now. It's not on RM. Another Mark Allen mistake. |

I can't see why we need to start Cabango after 60 mins of pre season football when Wood has done well in pre season.
I can't see Joe being risked from the off either as much I'd like him in the team ahead of Fulton who restricts our style of play.
I'd start Grimes as the deepest CM and Ntcham next to him but that clearly isn't going to happen.
Sarinola and Manning as wing backs is the only option for me. Lati can't and should not play there. Absolutely kills us.
Think we are allowed 9 subs this year with 5 able to come on? |

The Naughton/Keeper thing isn't going anywhere. He explained it in the forum. Basic concept to create a spare man as they will send one to press who can be taken out of the game straight away. In theory you can then work it to have a spare man through the entire move. It will be Darling this season rather than Naughts. Ball speed was the biggest issue with this but we had some games later on where we seemed to nail it....Milwall away was really good. But Martin will live or die on this hill. |

It could easily be a cultural thing as in he is seen as someone who might disrupt the morale. I don't Fulton is a good comparison, we'd like to move him on but he will be useful as cover if he isn't. Bennett had clearly been done for some time. |

Decent player but hugely over rated for me the way some people go on about him. Just a tidy work man like CM who's skill set is lost in our possesion style. Martin knew this and went and got Downes straight away. Cooper valued him more as he played a more cautious, less possession based style where Fulton can be more affected.
If we played scrappy defensive football he'd be more useful but we don't.
I think it says it all we seem to be having a bit of trouble shifting him. Reading sounds like his right level to me. |

Based off what RM said at the forum that won't happen. He was clear whether he plays a 3 or 4 at the back there will always be 'high attacking wide players' ahead of them. |
