Playing in a relegation battle in the county championship is a marked difference to a dead rubber in the Metro Bank cup.

At least Matty Hurst is standing up to be counted. Great season for him. Maybe Flintoff will select him for the England Lions squad, especially the white ball one.

The rest is just a massive disappointment. The established players outside of Jennings have under performed and it is too much to asks the kids to step up and score the volume of runs needed.

Sometimes one step backwards to go two steps forward is needed. The youngesters can have a season against lesser competition to develop and hopefully sign a couple of impactful overseas players.

There is a lot of young talent and Hurst has had a good season. There have been a catalogue of issues mostly stemming from the coach. Inconsistent team selections, poor performance from senior players and lack of impact from overseas players have all contributed to a poor season. Recent championship performances have been dire and lacked fight with the bat.

The formation really suits Gordon and Beckwith being both defensively sound and good enough on the ball to contribute offensively.

An all round excellent performance and to be honest we probably should have scored more. Henry and East totally dominated the midfield and unlike in previous games Woking gave us more space to play.

Defensively we looked sound with Ferguson looking very comfortable in the central role.

We shipped a lot of goals last season, so tightening up defensively is a good thing. It should not be underestimated the impact physically on the players of the start to the season. They have played four games in just over a week and it appears that both Gilmour and Ebanks-Landell have sustained muscle injuries. The players are not robots and Jim has rotated to manage minutes with apart from Gordon, I do not think any other player has played the full ninety in all of those four games.

To travel to Yeovil and come away with a win after a game on Saturday is a really good achievement. I am not sure if the team stayed over last night, hopefully they did.

Still the same formation with Senior and Armstrong at wing back and Allarakhia and Burger as the wide forwards.

I suppose away games are a bit different as you cannot choose your seat in advance and it is pretty much the unwritten rule of sit where you like. Those who want to stand can then gravitate to the back and then vice versa.

The issue is the lack of communication. Supporters need to be made aware that there are no stickers on the seats and to sit in the seats they have bought. There was no information about this anywhere. I was one of those affected on the first game and thankfully the group did move, but their initial solution was for two groups of season ticket holders to move to the row in front, which were also season ticket holder seats. I would not have felt confident in any of the stewards dealing with it.

It is basics. It's the same on Saturday with the turnstiles. Only two were open for the Pearl Street and it was painfully slow getting in. For whatever reason people cannot/do not want to to get into the ground really early.

I suppose with games Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday and Monday there will inevitably be changes for each game, alongside possibly what may appear at the time confusing substitution, with the aim of managing minutes and hopefully avoiding fatigue injuries.

It appears that East, Gilmour and Henry will rotate with whoever is on the bench coming on. Why Beckwith is interesting though as I do not really see Armstrong as a like for like replacement, but hopefully he has a good game.

A few issues from Saturday:

1. There were only two turnstyles open at the club shop end of the Pearl Street and the process of getting into the ground was really slow as many people had trouble scanning their ticket from their phone. I would have thought that one of the stewards/someone could have had a hand held scanner to assist those who were struggling which would have allieviated the problem. If crowds increase, especially with with first time/infrequent supporters this issue could get worse and/or put people off attending.

2. The chairs in the Pearl Street were filthy. Again, not very appealing to new supporters, or even existing ones. My seat was also broken.

3. There were no reserved stickers on season ticket holders seats. This caused a bit of an issue when a group of supporters were sat in a block of reserved seats and their solution was to move to the row in front, which were also seats of season ticket holders! Thankfully they did see sense and moved, but this issue could have been avoided.

To give George Delves credit I emailed him this morning about the stickers and broken seat and within five minutes he had replied and copied in two other people to my original email saying that the staidum staff will look at prior to Saturday.

A few small things that should not cost a lot of money can just help to improve the match day experience.

It is really pleasing to see the contract extensions. It gives the players security and all three should be able to adapt to League 2, if we did get promoted this season.

Really pleased for him. He has looked good in the right sided defender role in the back three.

Are you not entertained!

As 442 said it should have been at least 5 at half time if not more. The football was a joy to watch and we cut them open, almost at will. For the second week running we didn't look like the non league team.

The players should take a lot of confidence into next week.

There are a lot of players away but that should be an opportunity for others to kick on and there have been some decent individual performances from some younger players, but not enough.

I would also question some of the tactics, or lack of, such as plodding along at just over 3 an over during the power play and then losing lots of wickets to questionable shots due to scoreboard pressure.

I see Jennings who has been taken by one of the Hundred teams to sit on the bench would have replaced Buttler at the Manchester team and actually played but there was a a lack of communication regarding his injury.

2-1 - Mitchell and Henry. Butterworth (I think? for them).

Three really good goals.
