We need a goalkeeper who can keep us up this season. Günok would certainly do the job, as would several others we could get from Euro 24 squads; McCarthy and Bazunu won't. |

It seems Glastonbury wasn't the targeted audience either. The problem is the Eavises have to show they put black female artists on as headliners, but rock music is the natural genre for Glastonbury and there aren't many black female rock groups. Meanwhile, Avril Lavigne was on a smaller stage playing to a much larger audience, as were The National, who security had to turn thousands away from because there simply wasn't room for any more.

His assistant needs to have a word at half-time and tell the players they must start running fast, passing forward fast and attack the goal: basically ignore Southgate's instructions as it looks like all he does with them in training is endless sideways passing across the middle of the pitch

As the other England players don't pass forward into the penalty area, Kane has been cut off from the game. I guess he should start shouting at them and ordering them to do so. But, they must already be under strict orders from Southgate not to. [Post edited 30 Jun 17:45]

England play so slowly they look like they'd prefer a game of walking football. They never take one touch when they can take two. It's always stop, take two touches, then pass slowly to the side, repeated until it reaches the other side of the pitch. Then it's passed back across the pitch again until it reaches the side where it all started. If anyone breaks the pattern and passes the ball forward it goes to a Slovakian player because the other English players aren't expecting it so they all stay in a line waiting for the next sideways pass.
They need to get Cole Palmer on as he'll run forward and score by himself if nobody will help him. [Post edited 30 Jun 17:40]

Every tackle by an English player is given a yellow card. At this rate, unless they stop tackling altogether, there's going to be a red card. Didn't this ref cause a riot at a Turkish league game? [Post edited 30 Jun 17:28]

It's only been a problem in the games officiated by Oliver and Atwell.

There are so many better goalkeepers out there that it's obvious nobody else would have been desperate enough to take him AND even pay him. BUT, nobody else is stuck with Bazunu. [Post edited 29 Jun 9:48]

If you can find a TV replay, you will see that Mbappe was very physically pushed out onto the pitch by a French coach so it seems to have been a management decision. |
