| News Comment | Fulham faltering at worst possible time - Interview at 20:19:09
Hope you and yours are keeping well Konk! It will be interesting to see if either side can be bothered to drag themselves onto the pitch. Given current form and effort it may be the first ever game where both teams end up with nothing. If indeed they turn up at all? |
| News Comment | I have often walked down this street before - Report at 22:57:52
To be fair Assombalonga is a £15m centre forward with as good a record as Charlie Austin. Boro may be poor but their squad is worth about 5 times what ours is. We just have to get behind our lot and hope they re-discover their mojo from 3 or 4 games ago. |
| News Comment | Spot the difference, QPR annihilated at Norwich - Report at 22:04:20
Bircham is not a bad shout. Better than the idea of Rui Almeida, who's best line in his limited wikipedia is joined a relegation threatened team but couldn't stop them going down. And that was the highlight of his resume! |

But Steve keeps telling us 'we are so close'! I'm not sure at the moment what to? Oblivion or Kemar Roofe being made a forever R for scoring the most goals ever seen at Loftus Road? |
| News Comment | QPR power past Pompey into FA Cup fifth round - Report at 23:24:54
Excellent piece. I like a big striker who hangs around in the area heading balls that need a net to stop them killing fans behind the goal. At long last, Matt Smith played in the area, facing the goal, with two wide players swinging the ball in. It really isn't rocket science. |
| News Comment | The Undropables 2 - Knee Jerks at 18:46:02
a. Lumley decides to launch it. b. Lumley passes, defender, under pressure, launches it. c. Lumley passes, defender, under pressure, passes back, so Lumley is under pressure, so he launches it. d. Lumley passes, defender, under pressure, passes back, so Lumley is under pressure, so he tries to play a suicide ball to Luongo, who almost gets caught out, but usually manages to get it to Lynch. Who launches it. Excellent this. I think they do this in training. Practice a to d and repeat. Very accurate observation. Scowen is trying too hard. I think the backline are doing fine now. We have some very good forwards who would be rescued by The National Protection Of Cruelty To Footballers Charity if one existed for being starved of service. We have a wealth of talent in midfield but continue to accommodate players out of position or those who must always play and miss the point that if you don't have a genuine playmaker in the middle (Freeman or Eze) and genuine pace down the flanks (Pav, BOS, Smyth and Chair) then your forwards are going to be rescued and re-homed eventually. |
| News Comment | West Brom wallop seven through hapless QPR - Report at 19:48:14
I just can't understand why manager after manager doesn't get that we have Samuel, Smyth, Pav and Chair. All with great pace to get down the wings and cross to players like Smith and Sylla, who all us fans know are much better 12 or six yards out running at the goal. It just seems bat sh*t mad that we don't play out and out wingers when part of the so called heritage of QPR is flying wingers. Just don't understand it. On a footnote - Man Utd ditched their crap grey kit half way through a game, I think with Southampton. We must ditch this pink sh*t even it it means them wearing the much better black training kit. Some people think it looks okay. It looks sh*t and it doesn't help anyone wearing it because it looks sh*t. |
| News Comment | How was your Friday? - Report at 16:22:26
Excellent report as always. I think Ollie has watched too much Peaky Blinders recently, judging by his suit and cap. To be fair his tactics are from about 1919 as well. Either stack up every midfielder in the centre circle like an old multi LP player or take off every possible wide player and send on Godzilla, and fire the ball into the night sky like a grenade until something happens... or not. Does anyone remember the football Ollie served up shortly before he went on garden leave last time. It looked scarily like what we are seeing now. I love the guy but everything is blamed on FFP or lack of strikers. Just because Man City win every game playing 3-5-2 doesn't mean we can. Our squad is worth about as much as De Bruyne's toenail. Play to what they can do which is a lot more than we are seeing now. Hopefully we will get Eze back and then at least with him and Samuel we will have some pace, running around in the centre circle like everyone else. |

Well written and agreed. I personally think this may be the beginning of the end for the FL rather than us. I think this will come back to bite them up the arse. I do hope so. |
| News Comment | Red card sparks rousing Rangers rally — Report at 22:18:52
Great report. Came away with it relieved that we got a point and disappointed we didn't get all 3. This team is proving that if you give a group of honest pros time to gel that eventually it will all come together. A budget team with a big collective heart. Finally!! |
| News Comment | Heart over head or deceptively shrewd? Column at 13:26:46
Excellent summing up. For me the club may have just got its soul back. Les, Furlong, Ollie, Sinton, hopefully Birch. This is, for me, a club that can prosper, or at least be true to itself and the fans, with people who have played here, have their hearts here and want the club to be 'the real QPR'. TF has always come in for dog's abuse from some but perhaps this is the realisation that this is quite a unique club and it has to bubble along in its own way. I think TF may be looking at us more as a strangely quirky 'heritage brand' rather than as a slick Premiership club, which we really aren't. QPR however, is a love affair, more than it is a football club. |
| News Comment | The Jimmy’s not for turning — Preview at 15:07:38
We shall see what JFH does tonight to try and stimulate a win against a Sunderland team that are lacking horribly in confidence and ability. We should go for their throat but I doubt they will. But, as you say, if they go out there to turn up and get beat, favouring a mediocre or worse season at this level, then it won't be just you boiling with piss. |
| News Comment | Hill, Faurlin and looking ahead — Ferdinand interview at 12:17:03
The important thing for fans to realise is that Clint and Ale weren't just booted out. The plan didn't fit what they wanted to do here so it was time to move on. Shame, I love both players, both very much what QPR is about but we do have to give JFH and Les time (quite a bit of time) to get the team and playing style the way they want it and the players who can play that way in or up to speed. |
| News Comment | Caution to the wind — preview at 12:22:39
Unless we go for the Sunderland throat we're doomed in this one. Sit back and it's Sunderland ?+ QPR 0 all day long. |
