I think we need to pray that Southampton get some points on the board because I can very much see them picking up the phone when Martin gets the push |

I thought of Richard Langley and he'll get exactly the same lazy accusations shown at him. I also think the physicality of Luton and this league might be a shock to him initially but I think that is why he has come here, that is where he can grow as a player. Has shown some real touches of class already that pass for Dembele against Plymouth when Dembele hit the bar was top level class |

I think it's the Keeper to be honest. Nardi rarely comes for anything and is very much an on the line shop stopper, which means more coverage is needed deeper in the 6 yard box so no surprise they are being pulled narrow. If the team are confident that the keeper has a certain area and height covered they will position differently. We looked more secure from crosses on Tuesday with Walsh as he will come catch and punch more. Nardi is cleary an excellent shop stopper and fantastic in one on ones, Walsh seems to be better in terms of handling and crosses |

I think I said on another match thread that was probably the most physical and direct team he would have come against in his career, and his positioning and anticipation was all over the place. That's the eyeball test, interestingly on the analytics sites that rate players he had the second highest score after Frey 8.2 or something like that, because for all of those issues he scored and had a key contribution in the goal and other chances created. He will need to work on the physical side of his game that is for sure, and anticipation will come with game time. Marti could easily have hooked him ahead of Lloyd at half time and there would be no complaints, but another example I think of what a great manager Marti is that he decided to leave him on and move him to the left |

Shop stopping was exceptional last night and you can see this is his strength along with one on ones. I'm not wholly convinced with his handling and command of the box especially with crosses where he can be very rooted to his line, and that impacts the defence. Who have to be a couple of yards deeper |

While they can get away with it in league 1 they are so going to fail FFP as soon as they come back up on their salaries. Its a crazy gamble |

it was the best all round centre forward performance in years, holding the ball up, winning the ball, distributing it, pressing, composure and finish. Play half as well consistently and the 9 is his and he'll have double figures in goals |

Brilliant 2nd half performance, brilliant from Frey best CF performance for years. Brilliant from Field and of course Brilliant from Marti who is an extra player for us in his ability to change the game. Cracking stuff [Post edited 30 Aug 22:05]

I suspect this is probably the most physical game he has played in and it's very physical and direct. With man marking. He's played some great passes but is a liability defensively and anticipation is terrible. Lloyd has also had a very poor game offensively and defensively. Need to put Dembele central and get Smyth on down the right |

I'm a lefty and agree it's a step too far. Ex smoker now vaper. I get the economic argument against the costs of the NHS and I understand the nudge psychology the indoor / public place ban had a huge impact (though not as much as the development of vaping alternatives). In Singapore where they have this people just walk down the road so I dont actually think it would have much impact for the political cost. Saying that 55% are in favour according to the polling |

Alfie Lloyd is a striker we are playing him wide, so we do have 3. So. not the end of the world if we dont replace though I suspect we will bring in a loan, I think we will definitely see a left back come in as well |

So I have teenage children, my youngest was diagnosed with Autism about 18 months ago. One morning she woke up and just started screaming like a stereotypical mad person in the park. She would break into these animalistic screams 3 or 4 times a day. We started to see Tourettes like symptoms too. Trying to get any mental health support was a complete nightmare to be honest in the NHS non existent unless there is a suicide attempt and we had found out that from her internet searches she had done so. Everyone we spoke to CAMHS etc thought it was classic autism but the waiting list to be seen was nearly 18 months and we did not think she would survive it that long. In the end I stumped up the cash with family help and took her to the Priory (even that was a 4 month wait). In the meantime we were referred to the The Autistic Society and went on a parenting course. I learnt a lot about Neurodiversity in this time. She was diagnosed with Autism and they were very keen to test for ADHD as well, but I was not really keen. The Psychiatrist wanted to medicate but we were really uncomfortable about putting 12/13 year old on meds, and in the end CAMHS once we had provided the private diagnosis put her on some talking therapies. However the diagnosis itself seemed to be the thing that really turned it around for her. She is high functioning (very high functioning) and we together have learnt to manage her and she has learnt to manage herself without going down the meds route (she goes for about 3 or 4 walks a day listens to podcasts. She can still blow but it's usually related to anxiety about a school test or something and her anxiety is not being perfect or coming top in the class. She plans to go to med school and be a doctor (a neurologist believe it or not!) Now we have learnt a lot of things in this period and not just about our daughter. My son who is older (having done the tests with our daughter) is almost certainly Autistic too. My partners bother was a Paranoid Schizophrenic who died a few years ago almost certainly neurodiverse There has been alcoholism and other issues and there is some ADHD we see in cousins. My point is this, the knowledge I've gained from going through this and understanding how lives have been ruined because the original neurodiversity be it Autism, ADHD or others has not been picked up , recognised acknowledge and managed, and it can lead to much more serious conditions especially when Anxiety comes into play as it does with many. It does not have to medicalised with drugs but some people will self medicate with Alcohol, weed or other drugs. At least 1 in 50 people are on the Autism spectrum, 1 in 20 for ADHD. Their life experience is very different to neurotypical. So good on Charlie for coming forward and speaking not just of his own struggles but that of his kids as well. And as a parent that has gone through this and still goes through this and would not wish it on my worst enemy please accept that people are different and sometimes we have to make allowances and be kind if people are different not cruel. |

Thought Santos did really well too., Cannot understand why we have not actually given him minutes there before today |

Thinking it's an issue with the Sky box app, rebooted the box as well and no different, suspect they developed the mobile app first and the sky box app has been rushed. Was never this bad on the red button. Cambridge was the same. |

Pretty awful game truth be told, pleased for Santos who did well and even got to have a go at right back. I think I actually prefer Walsh in goal to Nardi commands the area much better and has more of a presence |

Anyone else had issues with the stream, 1st half it got 4 minutes behind because it kept freezing for a second or two every couple of minutes. 2nd half even worse and then it just stopped broadcasting right before the winning penalty assuming again because it was so far behind. Using a 2nd room Sky box 600mb line so speed my end not an issue. Worse than a dodgy internet stream. An absolute joke they ruining the EFL and Championship for an app that does not work properly |
