I started watching "Kin" recently, it's on the iPlayer. I think I can honestly say that it's the first programme I have every binge watched. I think I did ten episodes in 24 hours, eek 
The scene with Frank Kinsella and the priest was one of the cleverest and best acted moments I have ever seen  |

Good choice, I've read Holland's "Persian Fire," about the world's earliest empires, and it was excellent.
I am currently on holiday - lucky me - and am very much enjoying pioneering guitarist Tony Iommi's autobiography, "Iron Man". |

Sorry to hear the magpie is no more 😔
We found a seemingly abandoned baby bird in our garden once and looked online for advice on what to do.
The consensus seemed to be: Put it in an open container and then wedge the container securely in a tree or bush, reasonably high up. |

I've never had an acoustic guitar but inspired by various Kaki King tracks I like I have been teaching myself some fingerstyle techniques and playing them on my electric guitar. I set my amp to a country style tone.
Maybe I will buy an acoustic one day but I have short arms and don't like having to manhandle the big soundbox.
I've never tried a loop pedal, but I bet they're fun. A band I like, Russian Circles, uses them a lot. |

I'm still buzzing from that, great stuff from the team, they dug deep and didn't give up. Frey's finish was sublime.
One of the most surprising things about the game for me was that Colback managed to get through (most of) a match without picking up a card. |

Years ago, I stumbled across an article in a marketing magazine about a free pen giveaway promotion run by My Guy magazine.
Said writing implement was attached to the front page with the following slogan underneath it:
"My Guy's pen is fantastic!"
The only problem was that some rascal in the creative team had deliberately reduced the amount of space between two of those words....  |
