Nice to see they are doing their best to avoid a derby game next season. |

Don’t know about expect; but I’d like for us to get a manger whose sides don’t concede 60+ goals (or whatever the amount was) every season and are actually difficult to score against. The thing is, the manager isn’t the only problem here, it’s the team at sports republic that select the manger and go after a certain type of player who also need to be replaced. It’s going to be a record breaking season for all the wrong reasons I fear. |

Italy this weekend (belated 50th treat). Sunday - Como V Hellas Verona. Hoping the rain holds off. |

Didn’t have a hope of getting a ticket for this so I’m off for a weekend in Italy and going to watch Como v Hellas Verona (my adopted Italian team) on the Sunday. Back home Monday evening in time for our game on the tv. |

Newcastle away the season they banned away fans while redeveloping the ground. Managed to get tickets on the gallowgate from a geordie who is well known to a few London Saints. MLT with a late free kick, There were very few of us in attendance that day |

I think moving the away fans has definitely changed the dynamic in the ground. I've had season tickets in the Kingsland then the Itchen South since the ground opened and it always had the noise of the away fans drifting down the pitch to the rest of the ground, now it's across the chapel end. I think David Brailsford from British Cycling christened it the aggregation of marginal gains years ago. At the end of the day though, if the away team is good enough they'll win regardless of where fans are. |

Barring Archer up front, that was probably our strongest starting 11, lets hope RM sticks with similar for Bournemouth. There needs to be a walkway through or way of cutting round the fanzone at the back of the Northam. We really need to defend set pieces better. |

Forgot about Belgium and Blues! Used it a bit last season. I saw simply weller at heartbreakers last night. Quite a good tribute band. |

Got the train down yesterday as I went to a gig at heartbreakers in the evening. One thing struck me after some discussion on here re the fanzones and the quality of alcoholic beverages in plastic pint pots. I went to O’Neils instead of the painted wagon in the hope of avoiding plastic cups, no luck in there and it tasted awful, tried the pool bar next door - same in there, in fact everywhere bar the mayflower after the game were serving drinks in plastic pint pots. Is there anywhere that uses glasses on match day anymore? Haven’t been to Oxford street since moving my ST. Is it just the top of town that insists on selling drinks in plastic? |

1, Fanzones 2, No goals being scored means the Northam wall doesn't get criticized for not being loud enough should we put one away. 3, Ross Stewart might be fit enough to play a full game this season. |

I missed Saturday as I was in Ireland for the weekend, my son picked me up from the airport earlier and he said at half time he couldn’t believe we were two nil down considering how well we played but the second half was abject. He also said he tried the fanzone due to the early kick off but gave up trying to get a pint outside and went in and got one from one of the pop up bars. It seems there are teething troubles on and off the pitch this season, let’s hope for something better against Ipswich next Saturday. Another defeat (regardless of the performance) and I think any credit RM has with the fans will be fast evaporating. |

I agree, I'm not a massive fan of the style of play and It was always going to be a struggle this season with a steep learning curve for RM and the team. Let's hope we see some lessons learned in the coming games. And with SR in charge and their track record of panicked managerial appointments I fear the worst should they need to do a mid season reset. |

I thought he did well last season then he picked up an injury. It was a shame for him and us at that point as I thought he was really coming along. Good luck to him. |

Or they sack Ten Haag and get the new manager bounce |

If we were fans of any of those three teams we’d be rubbing our hands at the thought of playing us. I bet Wolves fans are counting down the days until they play us and we do our usual thing of bending over and gifting them 6 easy points in a premier league season. [Post edited 1 Sep 7:10]
