Some of the oldtimers here
at 19:56 28 Apr 2024

I have an 11 year old granddaughter who is QPR mad. I have taken her to quite a few games over the years, and is now begging me to get her a season ticket for next season. I started to coach her from a young age, and she now plays for a local FA registered girls / ladies team. Her ambition is to play for QPR when she’s older.

Leeds Victory Dedicated to My Dad
at 22:57 26 Feb 2019

My Dad passed away last Wednesday, and it’s been a tremendously difficult week for me and my family. But tonight’s win has put a smile back on my face. Fantastic second half performance. Hopefully the start of a revival for the Supahoops. My Dad would have been so pleased to know we had a brilliant win. U R’sssssssssssssss

QPR's second half rally can't prevent predictable outcome - Report
at 11:04 13 Feb 2017

Looking at the positives, at last we have someone in Matt Smith who can win balls in the air, and is a very decent header of the ball. On the face of it perhaps the best since Helguson. I thought Luke Freeman was outstanding in the relatively short time we saw him. It's just a question of Ollie finding the right team formula, but this has to be over the entire 90 minutes. Up till now we've just been too inconsistent. With also Revel Morrison still to come I'm sure we will improve, but it needs to happen fast as time is rapidly running out.

Swindon game: oh no it's a cup match!
at 22:05 8 Aug 2016

Is JFH going to take this game on Wednesday seriously. It's about time we had a decent run in a cup competition. I will understand if there are some changes from Saturday, but hope we will field a side capable of winning on the night.

I had a closer look at the table, and yes Darford doing well in 5th. I also noticed that Margate another Kent team are not far behind in possible contention for a playoff spot.

Hi Phil
Yes, I also thought that it was an entertaining game, and overall Ebbsfleet were the better team. You've got a nice little ground, and I'm sure you will be going places. I note that Maidstone are second in the Vanarama league, and if Gillingham get promoted they will be in the Championship next season, so it's really good to see the Kent teams doing so well.

Ebbsfleet United Friendly
at 20:30 26 Feb 2016

On Tuesday night I went along to see the under 21's take on Ebbsfleet. It was a freezing February night, but I estimate that over 100+ supporters turned up. For me it wasn't too long a journey as I live in Kent. I didn't happen to see any other R's fans there, but thought I'd go along as I was curious to see what our youngsters were like. It was difficult to judge exactly what team Ebbsfleet put out as I don't know anything about their players. To be fair I thought the quality of football wasn't bad at all, but sad to say we lost 2-1. On the assumption that the Ebbsfleet side contained mostly first team players, then I think the result is certainly not a disgrace as they are currently top of the Vanarama National League South.

However, I do watch out for our under 21 results, and they've been mostly quite poor this season. This is something that quite clearly needs to be addressed, as its vital that we bring more youth players through the system, as we now seem to be taking a much more sensible approach with regards to transfers and building a younger team.

Antti's 6 Knee Jerks - Bolton

Very good summary indeed, and agree with almost everything you've said. Toszer's set pieces were on the whole very good, but I thought he was actually really poor apart from that. Like everyone else I was screaming for substitutions, and would have been very happy for Henry and Toszer to be replaced with Doughty and Faurlin.

Season Ticket perspective
at 09:19 12 Jul 2014

What is expensive? Surely it is all about perspective and affordability. Example: if someone has a salary of 100k, then the cost of the season ticket would be just like a drop in the ocean to them. If however your salary is only 15k, then you're going to be struggling to stump up the 700 odd pound. Therefore to one person they are great value, but the other poor value.

Traore signs on for 2 more years
at 11:55 4 Jul 2014

Good signing with potential to do well as a Premiership player. Also, a very versatile player to have as part of a 25 man squad. My only one concern is that he has tended to be a bit injury prone, but if he can stay fit I can see him continuing to work well down the left flank.

This is great news! As I mentioned in a previous post we should make him Captain!

Charlie is a natural born goal scorer. He will get goals in any league. If we can sign another decent striker to play alongside him then I can see us doing reasonably well.

A lot of people call me Marshy as a nickname as my surname is Marsh. And then there is of course one of our most famous players - Rodney.

If this is true then in my opinion I think he should be made Captain. No disrespect to Clint, but we need a younger player with the armband who is likely to feature in most games. Some may feel this could be quite a gamble given his unfortunate injury record, but assuming he stays fit, Ale could be just the type of player we need to motivate and move the R's forward in the Premier League.

Renewed a couple of weeks ago. Can't wait for the start of the season, and to see the Super Hoops again. After all, we are going to once again be playing in the best league in the world. What can be better than that!
