I assume with the purge of the development squad a couple of months ago a number of players were promoted from the the U18s so we're fielding a team made of kids who were in the previous year groups before.

I wonder if this is an unexpected outcome of the three year FFP cycle. It may encourage clubs to blow the majority of their funds in one season to push for promotion, if it fails then two seasons of tightening their belts before going again
