Transfer rumours 2024
at 18:21 6 Sep 2024

Famara Diédhiou is available on a free.

Had a bad time abroad and then came back to the Champ on loan for the later half of the season. So, stats look bad until he comes back to the Champ and gets 2 in 16. Still poor, but that being thrown into the Champ late so, he could possibly return to previous Brizzle form still and be a useful backup player to Celar if Celar has to play as Frey is injured.

We could offer a 1+1 (on our side). Maybe useful when chasing the game to throw a big man up front who knows the Champ. Chris Martins style. If he's rubbish the gamble was only one season and move him on. If he's still got it then we have a rare useful forward in the Champ.

This is all conjecture, as even Billy The Fish won't troll this nonsense.

Half decent tv

Slow Horses is very good. Season 1 was a little slow, but after that, it picks up.
Season 4 after episode 1 only looks like it could be the best as its got off to great start.

Also, a show called "Bad Monkey" on Apple or other places. It's a detective show with some one-liners, more detective than comedy and is closer to the Fletch films. They have replaced Chevy Chase with Vince Vaughn. Ep1 was slow, but it all picked up after that.

LOTR: Rings of Power is totally boring. However, the special effects, especially on the Orcs, are world-class. But it really is poorly done. GoT: House of the Dragon shows how to do Fantasy now, with proper character development. All the acting in HoD is world-class acting. Matt Smith I was never a fan of, but in this show his talent shows through along with the others. I suspect Shakespearean thesps everywhere.

Player and Goal of the Month Votes - August
at 00:58 5 Sep 2024

I was tempted to vote for Dykes for a laugh.

Frey for both.
2nd goal against Luton was a great team goal. Dembele won the press and then we moved it like a proper team. Pass and move and first time cross and first time finish.

Dynamic Pricing

This is the propaganda name for "Surge Pricing", which is the propaganda name for "Price Gouging".

Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_gouging
"it may refer to suppliers' benefiting to excess from a short-term change in the demand curve"

Or as some others may call it, good capitalism. But you know let's not get all political, after all we cannot keep going on about politics as that's all very boring, tiresome and awkward, much better to just have a whinge and then suck it up, of course, of course. Doff ya cap, on the way out.

International break
at 18:08 2 Sep 2024

Chance to make a decision on Dembele as an AMC where he makes more of a difference or keep him at RW where he can drift out of the game :(

I prefer him at AMC, which means who plays RW?

I'd go with Smyth, as I think he can form a winning partnership with Dembele down that side, as Chair-Willock used to do on the left. This gives us pace with two people for breakaways as well and allows Chair to come back in on the LW. Or we could have Andersen on the RW, but he could also be an impact sub for Dembele in AMC. It's nice to have options.

If Chair is not fit, is it LLyod, Saito or Andersen? I would go with Andersen for now, although that's not his best position at LW. And then Saito can come on when he's tired to press em some more.

In midfield, is Madsen up to defending with Field, or should we go with Colback? I thought Colback calmed down in the last game, so I would still go with Colback for now. I mean he didn't even get a Yellow against Lowtown... shocker!

I was there a few weeks ago.
Go to the TimeOut Market in Brooklyn, which has great views of Manhattan and great food options. Just avoid the Ice Cream place there, as there is one up the road that's much better.

Carmines is bookable, and the price of each dish is for 2 to share. Worth a visit. Most locals eat on 9th Avenue, and the rich on Lower Manhattan's east side.

Also, for shopping, search Google maps for Factory shops for your brands; those are really cheap.

At least Ainsworth started to change that culture, he did gives us that at least.

The 4, the 2 and the 1 ✅ , but the 3??
at 15:40 31 Aug 2024

Dembele plays better in the centre. Andersen has started RW before.

So, with Chair LW this could work as the 3. Rotating those three around when in possession could cause the oppo nightmares.

Then we have Smyth, Lloyd, Saito, EDB or Kohli to come one for any of them.

Smoking outside pubs
at 15:36 31 Aug 2024

Easy way to solve all of this.
Have specific places provided for smokers to smoke.
Smokatoriums and then people cannot random ever ingest passive smoke, and everyone knows what they are letting themselves in for.

Jimmy Dunne - undroppable
at 15:31 31 Aug 2024

I suspect the idea is that if Paal gets injured, Fox is still injured then JCS moves over to LB, Dunne into the centre with Cook and the RB slot is open for Santos of the loanee.

That, I would guess, is the thinking.

Willock doesn't care; this was all about the payday, and he's got it.
He won't be playing Roberts next season, as even Northhampton will find him out; L2 beckons for Roberts!

We can see the Nardi saves were better than we thought.
We can also see Paal was outnumbered 2-1 many times and defended impressively against them.

Frey, Paal and Nardi got us those points.

Luton will be okay, I expect them to go on a scoring run and win many games. Morris and Ade are excellent tricky players. They will be up there come end of the season.

Terrible ground though, I thought ours is bad, but there's looks like fire hazard waiting to happen.

Paal was the old Paal back again tonight.
Solid defending as they targeted him in the first half and of course great assist.

Faster tonight and it made a difference. Can he keep it up, though? Tough to do that.

That finish was class, only the volley and he was quick enough to get in there. Dykes would have been jogging in, rather than busting to get in there.
