I think its still a problem. All 3 goals v WBA were from crosses and poor reaction/marking for all the goals.
What I did notice Friday night was that Colback was picking up McGuiness. Why? We need to organise better than that.
Half our problem is also not shutting down the crosses in the first place. We seem to sit off the player crossing the ball and not shut the space down to cut out the cross. |

You can see there is a player there, just needs to get up to speed with the Championship pace. Same with Varane who was better when he came on than his previous appearances. |

I think now that the window is over we have some great options with the 2 and the 3.
For the 2.
Colback - Field - Varane - Madsen (EDB)
For the 3.
Chair - Andersen - Saito - Dembele - Smyth (Koli) Lloyd) (Santos)
My worry would be for the 1 up top.
Frey - Celar.
In general I think we have a very balanced squad bar just having 2 senior strikers. |

No doubt he has done very well at right back. I would say though that a winger with pace sometimes gives Jimmy a bit of trouble. I have no idea if this Ashby is any good but seems strange that we would get him on loan and not try him at right back.
No one is un-droppable though. If they don't perform they are out of the team as there is plenty of competition for places now. |
