Loftus Road renovation/revamp
at 10:53 10 Sep 2024

Liverpool waited for one owner to shuffle off their mortal coil before getting the chance to extend the Kemlin Road stand, they’d bought up all the rest of the houses by then and had them boarded up. Also there is a bit of a difference in the value of properties in Liverpool and W12!

If the car is new then the dealership has to tax it prior to collection. That’s why you get the car price and then the on the road price

Parking at Loftus Road advice for a quick get away after
at 11:59 9 Sep 2024

I’d park the other side of the Westway Near East Acton station. Fifteen minute walk at tops but you can get onto the A40 quickly.

I think Frey will out score Dykes and Armstrong combined.

Reintroduce the rule that goal kicks must be taken from the side of the six yard box from where the ball went out.

If and when North Battersea get charged by the PL I hope that NDC is hired to represent them and does so with much professionalism. 😂

Dynamic Pricing
at 08:50 3 Sep 2024

It was well known that Ticketmaster would hold back a good number of tickets for big events and place them directly on their own resale site for hugely inflated prices and when they were found out and the practice made illegal, they came up with dynamic pricing which is the same thing but at this time legal. Evidently artists can opt out of this…….

Oasis Reunion 2025
at 17:55 1 Sep 2024

I’m glad I didn’t get any tickets for Oasis. All this dynamic pricing that was going on and Ticketmasters excuse that the price automatically responded to high demand is total bullshît. It was the most obvious thing this century that demand was going to be huge and they knew that and the brothers Gallagher, greedy fûcking Mancs knew that as well. They have just totally ripped off their fans. Bit like PL football teams. Don’t give a fûck about the supporters, it’s all about the money. Cûnts.

Yup. Nice to see them finally return to their natural level after 20 years of over-achievement. Hopefully little Chrissy will visiting the likes of Northampton next season.

changing the subject slightly...

Assuming the link was about QPR when I first saw it earlier and the link didn’t work I googled QPR 31st August 1974. This brought up the fact that we played away to Luton Town that day with the result being 1-1. 50 years later…….

Spelling & Grammar Faux Pas
at 15:08 30 Aug 2024

A few years back on the front cover of a QPR programme which would show a picture of a certain player, who may have had connections with the opposition and who would be subject to an interview within the pages. One time it was Clint Hill, spelt in capitals with a rather squarish font, placed quite close together, so it read CLINT HILL , but you really had to check the spelling of Clint twice as the L and I looked suspiciously like a U.

Agreed we totally dominated the second half but after we scored for some reason we decided that we wanted to emulate Southgate’s England and the chief culprits for me was JCS and Field. Both were shockingly poor today in my view. We have been told that the manager wants a high energy press but we aren’t getting that at all, Plymouth we’re playing through us at will until their first sending off. We need to put teams like Plymouth away with something to spare and had they finished the match with 11 I suspect that we could have been looking at a defeat. Agree, our forwards don’t take a gamble to try and get in front of their man in front of goal, too many times the ball went across the face without anyone attacking it. MOTM for me was Dunne. Was superb defending and gosling forward.

Given that North Battersea has once again been the main culprit in inflating transfer fees since Tom Bola has arrived on the scene it and are doing their best to circumvent PSR it would be nice to see the other 19 clubs collectively decide not to buy any of their players during the next transfer window. Not that most that have been excluded from the first team battalion are worth buying

They have over 20 players training away from the first team squad now, which Mascara claims is 21 in number! Hardly any decent kids left or home grown talent. By all accounts they need to make sales of £200million by the end of the transfer window, which I hope other clubs recognise and start making silly offers or better still snub approaches to take players on. Hopefully they are left with a load of ‘Winston Bogartes’ for many years to come. The sale of the hotels to themselves should never have been allowed against losses and the little fix of selling unknown talent for silly money to other clubs and vice versa to further placate PSR is an insult to other clubs that maintain a balance. Hopefully the PL has the balls to reduce these transfer fees to real values.

Yep, six miles and two more years of the Highways Agency deciding to overlay the concrete surface with tarmac ‘to make our journeys more enjoyable!’ What a waste of £83million. Just fill in the fûcking potholes with that money then I’ll enjoy the journey better. And as for the reduced land size, can just about fit the width of my car in the middle lane, and pray for my wing mirrors to survive!

Eze release clause
at 09:46 21 Aug 2024

This is where amortisation comes into play. If we are signing this Danish lad for £2.5million over five years then the annual loss on the books is £500k. The same with the other players, which I can only assume is offset by the fact that the headroom is now better now that 2021 is off the books and higher TV revenue plus also the additional revenues from anything that is nailed down or not nailed down being sponsored plus higher gate receipts from the higher attendances. Also I suspect that there is a bit of risk taking. On the basis that hopefully these players being signed will improve and become more sellable in the future.
