What are people’s views on this Rubiales v Hermoso case.
It was a kiss on the lips. Now forget consent but does this constitute in isolation, sexual harassment?
To me, it’s no more than an over celebration and pride that Spain’s women justifiably won the competition. No more than that.
Which makes me believe there is more history to this than we are aware of. But if so, why hasn’t it come out?
I’m a little bewildered by it all. If he’d grabbed her breasts or squeezed her backside at a party, that’s entirely different. But a kiss?

What Luis Rubiales did was pretty crass at first sight, but I've always thought a criminal prosecution when a man has already lost his job is overkill. Although we have to wait to hear all the evidence there are two things that appear to me to offer some mitigation.
First, it looks fairly clear from video and lip reading evidence that Rubiales did ask Jenni Hermoso if he could kiss her (though perhaps not grabbing her head etc). The response seems to be that as Jenni has her back to the camera we cannot see what her reply was, and she apparently claims she did not hear what Rubiales said because of the background noise.
Second, there is film of the players on the team bus right after the game joking about what happened and seeming far from upset. As I recall (and I haven't checked again), a team mate asks the others if they saw Luis Rubiales give Jenni a peck and they all burst out laughing. I don't know where to find the link now, but I posted it on the forum months ago when the case first came into the news.
Of course, some will say that the real crime was the alleged attempt to dissuade Jenni from continuing with her complaint, and I guess that that is where the argument will go. | | | |

Firstly a slap across the the face or a very verbal tirade from said female , I do work with a few lively characters , others a bit meek and need not to be treated in the same manner .
I would be held on a disciplinary charge quite rightly , shop worker or football Chairman .
