What Swansea need is continuation. Stability and consistency. If Montague is good then the club must seek to retain him for 5 years not 18 months.

One way to keep people is to give share options .share in the Company.

It's poor business management when one of the key activities of the club is dependent on individuals. We should have clear processes and procedures that are codified and shared amongst a number of key employees to ensure continuity.

We needed Widell now for all hands on deck. Down to finances as everything is and it be cheaper for him to come to us in the summer on the old wage bill front.

You have to really worry about the club setup if Notts County have a far better scouting process than we do.
7 years in the Prem, 6 in the Championship and we have nothing in place. We are being bettered by a League 2 club either a glorified version of Football Manager on the PC
Where did all of the money go?

Andy Scott appeared to know what he was doing and should have been promoted and loved with a good deal possible as " head of football"

Gyorkeres , Piroe, Whittaker brought in for pennies now worth silly money. They coincide with Scott being at the club.

Good post, Andy was the most qualified guy we’ve had at the club for years. However his hands were tied.

Crazy. There will be reasons I assume, maybe he’s had enough ?

Scott will be back in a job once Cooper returns to management.

We don't know how much of a gift Widdell is until he has played for us.
If he isn't up to it, then he is a very expensive present. That money could have been spent on 3 or 4 decent Championship players to haul us up this season.
Martinez and Jones brought us Bodde, Angel, Scotland and De Vries for around £100k.
