Yep. They have given up. SR have assembled a terrible squad. Even if the players give blood, swear and tears, (West Ham.at home comes to mind) we still lose because we can't score and always make a mistake. So I assume they have just given up hope. They can't win if they try, so might as well not bother.

The funny thing is when you look at the team that beat Brentford 4-1 in Sport Republic's first game in charge at St Mary's, it didn't look that good on paper. None of the players - Forster, Perraud, Lyanco, Md.Salisu, Diallo, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Broja, Redmond etc - has gone on to do much since, yet we've somehow managed to replace them with a team that's much worse.
Ankersen's move from Brentford to Saints has certainly had a vey big impact.

Glad you mentioned Oriel Romeu because he had exactly what this team lacks. Oriel had Skill + spirit + prepared to put his foot in + will to win. We lack all of the elements now. When Oriel left was the start of our downfall.

Agreed RM instilled a lazy mentality into the players. None of them have trained hard enough or been fit enough all season. That's RM's fault. What you lack on ability you can make up for with fitness & attitude. We have poor fitness levels & poor attitude.

I had a better day drinking in KarelCity all afternoon. Once I got home to find a five nil defeat, I simply gave up hope. SR will see this club into admin, sooner rather than later. I hope the club folds as this is beyond embarrassment.

Yes they've had an easy ride, and they're not fit enough. Dibling has gone off the boil since touchy-feely has gone.

I hadn’t read that post but as it happens I was in Corals before the game checking the odds on Paul getting two goals.

F*ck that, I thought. I was expecting 25s+ for a guy who’s never scored, and this was before the team was even announced.
Now that I think back, I’m not sure what I was thinking even contemplating the idea, but I’ll ask the nurse later when she comes round with my bedtime meds.
