At the end of the game it was telling that the last few players off the pitch were Duke McKenna, Fox, Field and Armstrong. Field made a point of putting his arm around Sinclair and saying something to him. Everyone else scuttled off.

Field was the last man off. My Watford mate made a point of how he felt Field really ballsed it out, chest out, et, walking off last.

Most of them scuttled off, including Chair who didn’t get nearer than the half way line and gave a waist high patter and quickly moved on. Played like his head is elsewhere.

They were booed at first but the younger lads like Mckenna, Gubbins and Armstrong got a decent reception. Was all very subdued and depressing

Chair has carried this lot for an awfully long time. He’d done his time, he’s being wasted here. He’s way, way better than this.
