Maybe the type of player who just needs to be given the freedom to make box to box runs and told to go out and enjoy himself. He was rubbish for Bayern under Ancelotti before he came to us too. |  |

He found it beneath him to play for us, coming from Bayern, winning Euro 2016 and being named the best young player in the tournament.
Clement's set up didn't help as well. Not to forget, his confidence only worsened as the season unfolded, us being sh!t and all, spiralling towards relegation. Then he was hit with injuries. |  |

He did. He'd constantly try to drive forward with the ball, apart from Fer he was the only midfielder we had who would try to take on his marker before looking up to pass forward. Unfortunately nobody would go with him and he'd have to hold on to it for longer than needed and usually lose the ball. |  |

Because we were a basket case on the ball under Clement and he didn't get his chance under Carlos. There's a player in there but a club in free fall, playing shit defensive football and with an impatient crowd probably isn't his thing.
