Barton's red cards 01:34 - Feb 22 with 3228 viewscalHoop

In the premier league

Johnson v Norwich - a pathetic headbutt after a nothing incident
Tevez V Man City - a pathetic retaliation after a nothing incident
Huddlestone v hull - a pathetic punch after a nothing incident

Can not wait until this scrote is out of the club.

In the Championship:

V Leicester City - Kicking the ball at Gary Taylor-Fletcher

His red cards are all very similar in that they have nothing to do with football & everything to do with his temper & stupidity.

Poll: Who’s better?

The thing they all have in common? All in absolutely crucial games for us. The bigger the game, the more likely he is to let us down.

Just watched again on match of the day, the stupidity is mind blowing, the referee is less than a foot away.

I'm convinced we could have won that game with 11 men. Hull were poor.

The thing they have in common? Completely unnecessary and carried out by a complete pillock.

This, I'm afraid, is why Barton will never worth his place in the team. He's a total liability. If he was our best footballer I could maybe accept it, but he's far from it. He costs us games like Everton away with his dreadful passing and reckless play. And he costs us games like yesterday with his hot headedness.

He should be told he's lost his place now and the only way he's getting back is if he shows he's better than Sandro, Henry and/or Doughty who should now be in pole position for centre mid.

I justed watched it again too and Bruce comes in first and hits Barton around the crotch area and then he turns around and maybe thinks its huddle stone that did it and returns the favour.
Another stupid bit of retaliation but Hull got what they wanted out of winding him up first.

Big shame is that there's a half decent footballer in there somewhere.

In his mind it's all about him, I've no time for him. He is lucky Sandro is always injured, if he wasn't our 80k a week player's backside would be on the bench.

+1. Also think we will miss him the next 3 games. No one else has that role that we need.

We all know Sandro won't be able to play all of them so we will have an inexperienced kid in there.

Johnson v Norwich - There was no contact at all and the cheat Johnson threw his head back as if Mike Tyson had landed a punch , not a red

Tevez V Man City - He retaliated to a punch thrown at him from scar face, silly but not the 1st football player todo so,tevez was not even spoken to ? What he did after is inexcusable. Red card for both

Huddlestone v hull - As captain of the team he was defending a youth player ( under instructions ? ) who was surrounded by Hull players trying to get him sent off. What the cheat huddlestone said we will never know. Red, but officials play a big part

Half decent is correct, his pass completion rate is low. How we offered him such a high salary is beyond me.

"I justed watched it again too and Bruce comes in first and hits Barton around the crotch area "

I was beginning to think I was the only person who noticed this , didn't get mentioned on MOTD.
Still doesn't excuse his actions though.

Your desire to defend Barton is almost endearing.

Growing up, my mum always said to me "it doesn't matter what someone else did, what did you do" when I would use tit for tat as an excuse.

In professional sport, you simply can not retaliate. The end. It doesn't matter what the other people did, in all 4 of his reds he has lost his temper in key games and badly let the team down. And he was the captain as well. Dear lord.

The Johnson one is actually the worst for me. Yes, Johnson went down like he'd been shot but what the hell was Barton doing anywhere near him. Moronic.

Personally I've never wanted him back since Man City.

This makes it look tame, reminds me of Streets of Rage on the Megadrive

I'm not convinced we would have won. At the point Barton got sent off we had started slowly, created almost nothing and were losing 1v0. If you look at it from a bookmakers point of view they would have had Hull strong favourites to win the match on the basis we have taken just 3pts away from Home all season and haven't won a single point from a losing position.

I do think Hull were poor but to suggest we would have won is a not accurate. We actually seemed to be more solid with 10 players rather than 11 which maybe says something about Barton.

Yeah, and I think there's a decent bloke in there too.

But he's done it just too often and too often it's cost us.

Right now we need him in the squad if not in the team, but he will surely have to go in the summer
