News of this little one would be very welcome. I am always paranoid as anything when I'm with kids at football about exactly this - can't imagine what they were thinking..... unless it was too fast for them to react.
‘morbid curiosity about where this is all going’
Reminds me of when me and my son used to sit the Lower Loft around 10-12 years ago... We got to a game early and were watching the players warming up when Gino Padula whipped in a kick very similar to Toures... It was heading straight for my sons head, who was oblivious to whole thing. I instinctively stuck out a left hand to palm it away and it bent my hand right back! Boy did it hurt and would have totalled my lad! Really feel for that girl but at least she can frame the QPR shirt and get a shed load of cash for Toures on eBay
I think mine will be sitting on my shoulders for the Leicester game holding a target in front of her.I think we'll wait till we are attacking the Loft end as we don't want a Leicester shirt anyway. I hope that she is ok,but the dad wasn't the quickest to see where the ball might go.
A bit of a poor show by those sat close by....stick out a hand or something
Poor little thing was the only one who didn't see the ball coming.Everyone else did and covered up themselves. Showed the Mrs and she said 'if that had been you with any of ours and you didn't stick your face there to protect them I'd have murdered you'.
Why wasn't she watching the match? Only kidding, glad the girl's ok. Used to sit near there, had to keep our wits about us when Bircham was shooting in the warmups. He hit the back of my head once when I was facing the other way. Came over to check I was ok and I gave him some stick about not being able to get it on target even when there was no keeper there!
