F8kcs sake Scotland are a hard watch. 100 minutes without a single shot on goal. Reminded me of standing on the terraces at Elland Road watching Ainsworth's Rangers achieve the square root of f8ck all. |

Yes, written by the Corries in 1967. I grew up (in Scotland) presuming it was ancient until discovering that it was actually younger than me. Rugby fans always sang it at 5 nation games. In 1990 the Scotland team had it played as their run-out music and so all the fans belted it out in the stadium. And the Scotland team also spooked England out a bit by marching out not running out. They went on to win 13-7 and took the last ever 5 Nations title. I couldn't get tickets to the game so went to a west end pub instead (Mathers Bar). I ended up standing on a table leading the whole pub in several (deafening) renditions of it purely to take the piss out of my English mate who'd come to join us. As Scotland so seldom win anything you have enjoy the moment..... |

59 and no intention of sitting down any time soon. |

Yes flags; should have mentioned that, those guys deserve major credit. |

I've been taking my kids for since they were 6 and, generally, avoided the family stand like the plague. I genuinely can't see the point of it, although others may disagree. I did take a punt on getting STs in there when the rumour started about standing and, bingo, the following season it was done. I'd have been gutted it it had happened over on the other side though - sitting down bored looking at the pandemonium over on my right....... Anyway, it's utterly transformed it from being the most shit parts of the ground by far to one of the very best. More standing please. |

No, not in my section. Same folks around me every game as before. |

Yeah the Island's always busy when I go - it was still very much the Buccaneer when I moved to Kensal rise in 97. The Chamberlayne (or what ever it's called now) was the Banker's Draft back then. Bit grim. And the Greyhound didn't exist. The first version was called the Chambers and was a bit shit. The Greyhound became my home from home when it opened. I was just round the corners Basically, back in the late 90'sI used to spend all my time in the Paradise until the William opened - that was a blast for the first few years. |

Other than watching QPR at home and, occassionally, away I don't really watch much league football except the various playoffs on TV. I'll stick a lot Scotland games on TV, same for England. And I wander up to Wembley a few times a year to watch England live. Usually I try to restrict it to qualifiers but I did have a laugh at the recent Belgium friendly and am going back on Friday for the Iceland game. It's more just a night out with mates than anything else and I sometimes get my son or daughter along. Daughter this time. Three stops on the tube, can't really say no. I'll watch all the Scotland and England Euros and WC games on TV obvs. Other than that, I sometimes watch the odd six nations rugby game but am not really that interested. Despite my user name. Which wasn't meant to have anything to do with the rugby team of the same name. [Post edited 4 Jun 19:01]

Christ that's grim. Used to go there a lot when I lived round there. Has the William come back to life? That looked shut for a long time whenever I passed it Now I'm up in Willesden Green and my only real local, the Queensbury gave up last year. Apart from anything else. it was great pre-Wembley pub being opposite the tube and 3 stops from Wembley Parkway. There are still places to get a pint near the tube but not a proper pub like that. Shame. [Post edited 4 Jun 18:17]

Are you talking about yesterday's game? If so, I was there and really enjoyed the T20 format. I'd only been to one game before; day 3 of a 5 day test at Lord's when NZ were batting for a draw. I saw 78 runs and 1 wicket that day...... The high speed nature of yesterday appealed to me. Even my wife enjoyed it. |

Maybe "hating" is too strong a word but we all know how frustrating it can be if your manager persists in playing a certain way even if it clearly isn't working against the set up of another team. That's what my mate was saying during the season. |

My mate's a Leicester st holder and he's really happy. Last season he was infuriated by the "this is way I'm going to play and that's that" attitude of the bloke. |

My son's at uni up there so I can look forward to Leeds away again. As some sort of atonement for the slop that GA's team served up back in October. I'm still embarrassed about that as my BIL persuaded me to take my 2 Spurs-supporting nephews along too. I was lost for words at HT. They were slack-jawed at how shit Rangers were. |

Music is subjective and I hate it. OK; I quite liked some of the early trip-hop stuff and some of the Jamaican toasting that kicked of the whole telling-a-story-over-music thing in the first place. But they were quite melodic. All the rap since, to my ears, is just one bloke grunting into a mike over some plastic beats. Telling us all about cars guns and ho's. Make it stop. Please. |

Anything autotune. Fingers down a blackboard. Any rap. One note over and over and over and over and over and over and over again Bruce Springsteen. Fake working class bilge Maria Carey and all the other honking/screeching/warbling/hollering "divas" The Killers. Fake rock band from a fake city entirely devoid of musical talent with a **** in a shiny suit doing stupid fake rock poses all night. My BIL once made we watch a Killers concert on TV and it was one of the worst 45 minutes of my life. Not quite as bad as the first half of Leeds away this season, true, but that band is as devoid of musical ability as a GA team is of football |
