A gentlemans agreement? How naive is that? The man has a contract, he doesn;'t need a gentlemans agreement, to start with it's easier to break than a contract, to end with, why does a man with a contract.... Loyalty is a very pliable concept these days. A person will be claiming they'd need to be dragged out kicking and screaming one week and be gone the next. Disloyalty doesn't need an excuse, it is what it is. And when the next club is offering a good chunk more in wages, who expects any different than a goodbye? It doesn't often happen that manager turns down a big pay rise, specially if it means a jump to a bigger club, or even just moving up a division as when LW came to us. PS, was LW loyal to his previous club? |

Of course it's about wanting better, criticisng the Senedd is NOT criticising Wales anymore than criticisng Biden or Trump is criticisng the USA. Is pointing out Westminsters faults criticisng England or the UK? Was criticisng Levein and Kaplan criticising Swansea City? Can you not see the difference? |

Yes and the EU's open borders has made it easier for people to migrate illegally, they end up on veaches in France and then into small boats. Easily restricted or resolved...apparently not. Elected morons...100%. |

Well I've looked and I can't find anything that says it's happening as often across the rest of the Uk as it is in Wales. The waits at English A&E's are shorter to start with. We don't mention other parts of the UK because, this should be obvious, we live in Wales and we want Wales to improve. If people insist on whataboutery then how about this, if Wales was far better than England but was utter rubbish, would we still look at England and say, it could be worse, or would we want to improve? That is what it comes down to, whatever a few people may say, this isn't about knocking Wales, this is about wanting better. Happy new year everybody. |

Therefore my argument contained no straw and Klikylie, yet again, went spinning around and ended up in the same place...Wrongton. 10 years he says, well he used to prattle on about independence, said Scotland would go and we wouldn't be far behind. Not surprisingly (after he was told plenty of times) he was wrong so now he's changed tack. Only thing is, he's still wrong. Of all the accusations of straw man arguments posted on here, his actually is one, he attacks a distorted version of what was actually said. Kilkylie is the ultimate straw man. |

The demographic doesn't matter. You said the current situation wasn't related to....I gave a reason why it could be, people seeing what was going on and thinking (mistakenly as it goes) that the UK is a land of milk and honey and they'd have it made here. Why else will people pay over thousands, for a family possibly tens of thousands to people smugglers to get to our shores? Theynthink we'll give them everything but when they get here, they find out it's not true. Last year there was an African fella who gave an interview to Wales online, he said he was living on Ysguborfach street and he hated it, wished he could go home. He was surrounded by scumbags, crooks and druggies and didn't feel safe. There was another one who gave an interview to the Sun, thesun.co.uk/news/1897803/jobless-asylum-seeker-who-fled-hell-in-war-torn-african-state-eritrea-says-his-life-is-now-worse-in-swansea/ |

This is interesting... The total number of NHS hospital beds in England has more than halved over the past 30 years, from around 299,000 in 1987/88 to 141,000 in 2019/20, while the number of patients treated has increased significantly. Most other advanced health care systems have also reduced bed numbers in recent years. However, the UK has fewer acute beds relative to its population than many comparable health systems. Since 1987/88, the largest percentage reductions in bed numbers have occurred in mental illness and learning disability beds as a result of long-term policies to move these patients out of hospital and provide care in the community. The number of hospital beds for general and acute care has fallen by 44 per cent since 1987/88; the bulk of this fall is due to closures of beds for the long-term care of older people. Medical innovation, including an increase in day-case surgery, has also had an impact by reducing the time that many patients spend in hospital. While reductions in bed numbers have slowed in recent years, there are opportunities to make better use of existing beds by preventing avoidable admissions, reducing variations in length of stay and improving the discharge of patients. However, research shows that initiatives to moderate demand for hospital care often struggle to succeed. Progress depends on having sufficient capacity to provide appropriate care outside hospital, yet evidence suggests that intermediate care capacity is currently only enough to meet around half of demand and cuts in funding have led to significant reductions in publicly funded social care. Before the Covid-19 pandemic there was widespread evidence of a growing shortage of beds. In 2019/20, overnight general and acute bed occupancy averaged 90.2 per cent, and regularly exceeded 95 per cent in winter, well above the level many consider safe. It is not yet clear when and at what level hospital beds will stabilise after the pandemic. With hospitals under real strain from rising demand, significant waiting lists following the Covid-19 pandemic, staff shortages and many competing demands on NHS budgets after a decade-long funding squeeze, further reductions are both unachievable and undesirable. How hospital beds are used depends on the availability of other services, yet national data does not provide a full picture of NHS bed capacity and requirements. As the health and care system emerges from the pandemic, greater clarity from NHS national bodies is needed on their expectations for overall health and care bed capacity over the medium term, and the consequences of these choices. From April 2022 to March 2024, 43% of A&E attendees waited more than four hours, and 10% waited more than 12 hours ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/healthandsocialcare/healthcaresystem/articles/accidentandemergencywaittimesacrosstheuk/2024-02-28 |

Protocol, yet more BS. Or to put it 100% the way I feel, the whole honours list is BS, the whole system is BS and we should do away with the Royals, as in make them private citizens and tell them to take what they've got and run. The only reason politicians keep them around is because they all want to get on that list. I've seen plenty of posts on here about scroungers, what about thieves and scroungers? |

And more childishness, there is a big distinction between being a nation and being a sovereign nation. Wales does have an international cricket team, the England & Wales cricket team. Here we go again...you said, A nation is a large group of people with similar characteristics and culture...therefore Northern Ireland is a nation...suck it up buttercup A country is a geographic region that has boundaries and borders....therefore Northern Ireland is a country. The important thing to remember is that a country has its own national government while a nation has its own national character...yeah. So we get to the end and you still will not answer because you hate to admit you are wrong. Wales is NOT a sovereign nation or member of the UN. Good grief but that shoukld have been easy, I have made the classic mistake and been dragged down to that level, except I haven't been beaten because I'm right |

She'd be even harder to keep down! It's all total BS, who recommends these people, who pouts them on the approved list? Has Sinfield said something in the dim and distant that rules him out? I mean something Beckham like that makes him not welcome in that club? Sadiq Khan....why? Is being elected mayor of London enough these days, even if you do nothing notably good? What has Khan done that warrants this, did I miss something? |

Not just his draw, he wasn't the greatest manager but he picks Obafemi and look at the shape of him these days, who ate all the pies springs to mind. Rooney doesn't need the jobs, he's loaded, he should just disappear gracefully into onbscurity. |

Several years back, about 9 or 10 maybe, I posted on here that there were over 10 ambulances queueing outside A&E. Some wag told me that there couldn't be because there aren't that many spaces. Well in this story it says one day there were 16 ambo's waiting there. 16...that is potentially 16 people dying out here somewhere, waiting for an ambo that will never come. It was the Senedd that cut beds and A&E's here in Wales, I know someone will turn up to say ah, but Westminster...it was the SENEDD's decision, Mark Drakeford was health minister at the time i think. |

Not related? Maybe the massive surge that did happen, 853,000 Polish was it? Maybe that drew the attention of others? Then with open borders across Europe people saw the opportunity, the immigration boom isn;t a recent thing after all and for decades we have had a lot of illegal immigrants. What if, all across Asia and Africa they heard stories of people coming to the UK for work and believed it was the land of milk and honey? Specially when the crime gangs got involved and probably started pushing that line...it's great in the UK, free homes, free money, health care and we can get you there... How many people try to get into Russia every year? |

Depends on how long range, Darlings effort WAS a waste. Why can't we play one two's on the edge of the box, pass a ball into feet, back in comes and then smack it, not from 30 yards but around 20, we should be able to do it. It cam be done on local pitches so the pro's should be able to manage it. We need better movement, too many players are staic just moving the ball back and fore, we need runs, decoy runs fake shots. We do the same thing a lot and it's predictable. I don't think we struggled more but the goal was atad ironic given how we usually play, we don't win many headers in attack. |

Planning on leaving at 08.30, it's usually less than 4 hours there so we'll have 2 hours leeway. If there is definitely problems at the bridge then we'll leave a bit earlier. With the heavy rain forecats I guess there's a chance the game will be postponed. |

Well rules seem to be interpreted differently by refs all the time. For an accident to be a free kick there has to be a gain y the team without the ball. If it's accidental and they retain possession the ref will play on, most of the time. There have been times when we have been given a free kick when we had an advantage and the ref seems to have punished us. I'm sure we've been through on goal once or twice and been pulled back and given a free kick. |

Real? The ONLY A&E in Swansea is in Morriston, the depts in Singleton are minor injuries depts. Just admit you got it wrong and move on The current UK health secretary has been getting advice from a previous Labour health secretary, that previous person has been making millions out of private health care, I wonder how many of the changes that benefitted the private firms that previous health secretary was responsible for? I wonder what advice they're giving and will it do further harm to the "free at point of access care" that us plebs love and adore? I wonder how mnay of the current government will make millions out of contacts made right now and information shared when they leave office? Well it's a silly question becayse we know all of them will. You don't see poor ex government ministers these days, they have part time jobs that pay millionaire wages. |
