Well I think it does. I have explained that Swansea have a bad history of changing manger too often and seeing w unwanted player decline on the bench. One reason for this is Swansea do not like experienced squad players turning out for the u21s. They would prefer to play a 17 year old. There have been numerous players like this, Williams did not pick Ntoe and Kuharevych and steadfastly refuses to play them. Cooper was very upset at two on the face of it solid US internationals. Martin declined to play Whitaker despite the fact he was far better than Cullen at the time. |

The scouts have recommended these Dutch players and they could have gone ahead without Williams seeing them. The last Dutch defender is permanently on the bench and by now must be pretty demoralised. Nathan Ntoe an On. Swansea cannot afford to buy player Williams will not select. it is common sense. He will will not miss any matches perhaps one training session. He will go KLM presumably after the Cardiff game and fly back Sunday morning. He will have all the data at hand. Give the club some credit. This is option B or C. |
| Forum Reply | January Transfer Thread at 23:04 16 Jan 2025
Needs must. Swansea cannot sign any more player the manger will not pick. That is a very long list. Gyorkeres, Morris, Arriola, Dhanda, Burns, Williams Sagioe, Ashby , Whitaker, Ntoe, Pedersen, Kuharebvych, Yates. and many many more. |

Chris Davies is at Birmingham and spent a record transfer fee for a league 1 club of over £10m. £10m in league 1. Not even Reynolds does that, "Birmingham City's record transfer is the signing of Jay Stansfield from Fulham in August 2024, which cost more than £10 million. This broke the previous League One transfer record, which was £4 million". Who is the manager of Birmingham? . Oh look it is Chris Davies. Check you fact then gloat. |

The Cymru need the big South Wales teams to get into gear and look for growth and fill their own cloths. Merthyr needs all the help it can get. Even the open cast is shut now. We in Wales have a serious problem with a lack of ambition and drive. The TNS guy has it and Owestry in the Cymru league powerhouse while Rhyl, Bangor, Barry Llanelli and Bridgend are trailing them buy some distance. Merthyr are beating up small English village teams. The WAG found £5m from somewhere and presumably non football people decided a Museum in Wrexham was the best way to support Welsh football. I do not know who did the thinking on that given that the FAW are now saying Wales has the lowest percentage of good artificial training pitches in the whole of Europe. Welsh rugby is embracing shrinkage. FAW want to grow, [Post edited 16 Jan 22:41]

" There is opposition mounting". Do you actually read who you attach to your post.? The FSA said it should be given serious consideration while the Cymru u league clubs want further detail and time to discus. Money talks. The FSA presumably represent fans from England and Wales. |

Cooper was given young superstars Gyorkeres and Whittaker and did not fancy developing either of them. Neither played. Cooper was resentful when given two experienced US internationals. Coleman wants Williams to accept these players as his and not treat them like Big Myk and Nathan Ntoe who were bought for Duff. |

The Welsh teams want to give up qualification from the English leagues and qualify from the Welsh cup as they did for a good few decades. The EFL have a team that want to have a qualification to Europe removed to be replaced a by an English team. The Welsh cup on no different to the Asian cup except it is recognised now by EUFA. This is EUFA s business not the EFL s business. It is valuable and welcome. TNS is a Welsh club playing in the Cymru league in England. These anomalies exist. |

They all want a big transfer budget to improve their chances of success. Managers like Martinez and Brendan had egos bofg enough to work within a budget . |

They will. Funny that West Ham were mentioned. A 70000 stadium built by the Government for £2m a year for 100 years. It cost close to £1 billion with its own railway station and a new £179m roof. All waved through. The initial plan was a 20,000 stadium for Leyton Orient before Coe got involved. Cockneys did not go around worrying about what people in Burnley thought about it. You believe in assimilation and going to the back of the queue. I do not. Perhaps you blieve we are no different to Bristol Rovers I do not accept this. Some myths have been posted on her that a club like Swnsea woud not be allowed to make good money. This is what Coleman said. "Importantly, it ensures no financial advantage for Welsh-based EFL clubs regarding PSR. This is about improving football in Wales with good intentions." I suggested a few days ago the financial advantage related to the PSR regulations. Coleman has now confirmed it. What is in it for us? Euros and a lot of them. Reject fear. |

So a preseason or summer Welsh cup is OK then. Yes or No? You are so against debate it is incredible. I construct argument and make a case. You have no answer. You them quote a footballer who have no education at all and probably not a single CSE. He is good at football not administration. He is on a gravy train. I do debate and scenarios not raw facts. The Chief started the 'you make things up' trend. It seems Eufa have approved it. That for me was the only hurdle. The EFL will force a few conditions but will not block it. You do not negotiate than block it. It will be a compromise. Hopefully Birch will have a sympathetic stance at least on Swansea city. Blackburn can relocate to Wales. We are different. Some like me are proud of the difference. |

Yes I agree with that . Clarification of what that means is obviously required. Prize money Gate recipients TV money Advertising The rule as I understand it is allowed losses of £35m over 3 season. Swansea have no intention of going anywhere near that in the future. If Swnsea made £7m profit from Euri ope in that three year period the limit would reduce to £28m. The question is could Swnsea accept Eufa prize money. They may have to compromise on this with the EFL/ It is being negiociated to ally 'EFL concerns'. Who cares about Talksport who do not even report o welsh teams even when they were in the EPL. |

You seem fearful of debate. It is a forum and the old establish sages do not like different ideas it seems. Flag wavers are political in their outlook Welsh and British. Why would Blackburn Rovers object to Swansea playing the the Welsh cup for money (>£1m) while not objecting to Tom Brady's Birmingham going to Miami for the Presdent's cup for £5m?. Swansea is in Wales. If Swansea get to Europe perhaps they will hand over prize money to the FAW and collect for themselves gate receipts and advertising money. Coleman care more about the club than you do as he has put his family's money into the club. He thinks it is a good plan and looked at the financial benefits. I doubt Birch and co will block it if Eufa have already agreed. That would be like the EPL stopping the Asian cup if the Indonesian league had approved it and given their best team a shot at Liverpool in friont of 75,000 fans in Kuala Lumpar. |

What you post makes no sense at all. If Swnsea play in the welsh cup and beat Cardiff in front of 20,000 the n money will go to the clubs and the FAW, That is 'FAIR'. It has nothing to do with Blackburn Rovers who can play in a 'North western Lancashire cup' if they want. Coleman words are very diplomatic. I believe the context was the PSR regulations not the bottom line. Coleman would not be supporting this if there was no financial gain at all. Liverpool play in the Asia cup. Perhaps Coleman forgot to use the phrase "unfair advantage" Playing in the Welsh cup is not unfair. on EFL clubs hand has not relevance for EPL clubs who play in any cup they like. It could be Euro prize money is not included but gate receipts TV money and advertising revenue are included. This is in the g fine detail. In the FA cup TV money is more valuable that prize money. The Quest Channel five or ITV 4 pundits were far better than BBC ones. Micah Richards and Ian Wright were there for a laugh with Al and Gazza, Micah laughed at anything like the Democratic lady in the USA election. Sam Parkin and Joni MacAnuff clearly watched a lot of football and could easily list Fulton's short comings and contractual status. BBC pundits would have proudly announced they had never heard of him. The elite do not bother with the EFL. I recall Wrighty not mentioning a single Greek name in the Euro tournament they won 2006?. Not educated enough to say Papadopulos. Papa -dop-ulos . It is not difficult with a little bit of effort. |

I d not see why the English should be upset. Eufa seem to have given the green light and with a few protection around PSR there is nothing for them to worry about. Arab Government ownership is not a problem for them why should this?. Next week it will forgotten. Welsh clubs have always played in the English leagues. The views of English fans are irrelevant. The EPL and EFL are the views that count. The big English clubs play in foreign cups and Swnsea are not invited. Swnsea can play in the Welsh cup on the same basis. Qualification for Europe is not a matter for the EFL other than to notionally provide a level playing field. In the EPL there is no fairness visible as seen with Man city's 135 charges. |
