Last few posts sums it up for me. As Norf and DaveB have said, Brentford have a GENUINE chance of winning the trophy. That's my perspective. I don't blame the pragmatism of keeping both eyes on the league, given our league position and quality within the squad. It's not MC's fault or the players that we currently have the record of 3rd round exits.
I still see our club as a rebuilding project which I have since the Malaysians arrived, rightly or wrongly but that's how I see it. We're miles behind Brentford now and that's not good enough for me. |

I'm definitely in the minority here as nearly 5k going to the game attest's to, plus some of the comments here and my WhatsApp group but i cant bring myself to get worked up about another 3rd round exit. We couldn't even string two passes together a few months ago so our upturn in form is a nice surprise. I'd rather we get a good consistent squad together this year and have a more realistic go at a tournament next season. |

Started watching Mr In-between. On series 2 atm, excellent TV, so good. Cant believe the guy, also wrote and directed it but hasn't done much else( unless Ive missed it.)
It's kind of a mix of Dead man Shoes, Chopper and a Ken Loach film.
Some of the plots are slightly convoluted but Ray's savage but honest, unhinged but principled charisma carries the story through. [Post edited 3 Jan 19:36]

Mackie scored important goals at important times throughout his time with us. Smyth has Mackie's work ethic but how many times have we needed him to score at vital times? That Warnock side was different gravy.

Women are amazing. In my experience, they are the sensible ones. They recognise the importance of family unity, the home life and everything else that keeps men grounded. Theres some duffers out there for sure , but in the main, i believe women are the backbone of a decent society.
Having said that , I've just tried to explain the offside rule to my wife and 22 year old daughter, using a box of celebrations and the only QPR players they know, Sam Field, Jamie Mackie and Clint Hill.
They still don't understand it, and apparently i wasn't explaining it properly.
