Eduardo Vargas perhaps? Looked pretty decent at first and then........ Could throw Loic Remy into the mix as well. One who started shockingly and never improved would be Chris Samba. Even though I believe we recouped the £12m transfer fee when we sold him that has to be right up there in the worst deals we've done as a club |
| Forum Reply | QPR finally taste home victory as Norwich get Kolli-wobbles – Report at 19:31 9 Dec 2024
Great report, thanks. We were directly in front of the Ashby hand ball and it was as nailed on a penalty as I’ve ever seen. We definitely got away with one there. Even better seeing Norwich going into meltdown as a result! Kolli was great, but I’ve seen some nonsense posted here n here and elsewhere about how we need to ‘break the bank’, ‘give him whatever he’s asking for’ etc. He’s 19, unproven as yet and we should just calm down and see what he can do. Yea he looked lively and scored 2, but Gunn was probably worthy of an assist for both of them |

hard agree. A shame really as it was good when it first came out. One of his mates obviously thinks he's Billy big b*llocks, getting all the in jokes etc. Right up it's own deriere |

Tattoos. Used to be vehemently anti. Couldn't see the point (still can't tbh) and thought that anyone having them done 'cos they're individual' was sort of missing the point. Now I couldn't really care either way. It's your body, do what you want with it. And also, some of them do look pretty good. Never thought I'd say that a few years ago. |
| Forum Reply | Patient stabilised but home win still proves elusive - Report at 09:22 4 Nov 2024
Decent performance against the league leaders. I too thought the starting line up had us bang in trouble but we turned up and looked like we wanted to play. I've not given up on Celar just yet, and thought he played quite well in the scheme of things but boy does he need a goal. Problem is that you just can't see where goals are coming from anywhere in this team currently. Don't think we can 0-0 our way to safety...... |
| Forum Reply | Absolute Madness at 08:09 20 Oct 2024
That’s true we weren’t. All that counts is the final score obviously, and as said, I’m not trying to defend that. It was pony. But there was something of a goal threat. However, if professional footballers can’t hit the target from 10 yards then you have a problem. And we definitely do. I was double gutted as my daughter was a mascot yesterday, the club do a great job with that stuff and we’d had a brilliant day right up until Pompey equalized. From that moment on you just knew what was going to happen . |
| Forum Reply | Absolute Madness at 07:22 20 Oct 2024
Not trying to defend anything or anyone here, but there definitely was a goal threat, especially in the first half. We should’ve been 3-0 before they equalised |
| Forum Reply | Gallen Speaks at 20:02 9 Oct 2024
A version of snakebite then? Unusual choice of drink for pro footballers. The Gallen thing - kind of winds me up. Legendary player etc etc. Not the sharpest tool in the box (no judgement) but as far as I know, has never coached or managed at any sort of level. So, yeah, he has more of a relevant opinion than I do, but so does Liberace (and he's dead). Just can't see the attraction/interest in what he has to say about the current team, formation, tactics, signings etc |
| Forum Reply | Line up of QPRs worst ever eleven at 13:57 7 Oct 2024
Gus Caesar first name on the team sheet. A bit surprised to see Mark Dennis mentioned here - obviously a bit of a liability discipline wise, but as a player I thought he was decent. I'd say Ned Zelic has a strong case for making the starting line up too. Dena Coney in with a shout too. Hateley for being a massive bell |

don't think I'm saying that at all. But what I am saying is that if there is an obvious fracture in the relationship between the CEO and the manager, it's pretty unlikely the board would offer a big pay rise. I mean what would be the point? I know this board is all about opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs, but this particular subject seems like a non issue to me. There's doesn't seem to be a problem, but some insist on manufacturing one |

Yeah, and of course, this misalignment would all be completely invisible to the board, hence they would offer such a bumper pay rise even though the relationship between the CEO and manager is a bit Donald ducked. Or perhaps they wouldn’t. If it’s so obvious to you that Noirtu is a control freak and Marti is pee’d off then, no disrespect, but I reckon the board may possibly clock that as el |
| Forum Reply | Fans Forum 30/09/24 at 21:15 30 Sep 2024
Seriously - if this misalignment rubbish were true, why on earth would they sign a new contract? Generally, if you’re not happy in a work situation, and your skills are very transferable and in demand, you tend not to double down with your current employer. Some seemingly always have to look for an angle. Next we’ll be hearing the earth is flat. |
| Forum Reply | Fans Forum 30/09/24 at 20:53 30 Sep 2024
Probably been said elsewhere but the announcement of Marti and Xavi extending their contracts proves that a) Nourry is a dictator/control freak and b) Marti and Nourry are clearly not aligned/at loggerheads etc. As proven by some on here who know stuff but couldn’t possibly say how they know it or indeed, what it is. Laughable |

Absolutely. On that occasion you couldn't so much hear the music as feel it. We only knew they had started playing Bomber when a massive plane was lowered down from the top of the stage! |
| Forum Reply | Deafened by Speakers in Upper Loft at 20:50 24 Sep 2024
Motorhead at the very same venue, also 1982, was undoubtedly a lot louder than the speakers in the upper loft I'd wager. Took me a while to recover from that one - and undoubtedly set me on the path to my ever present tinnitus |
