My reasoning over this is the principle of increasing the tax and trying to use a bs excuse of concern over health implications etc. I’m fed up of taxing everything….and I mean everything. Where does the money go? Where does the tax on sugar related products go for instance? At the end of the day the Senedd want all our money and dress it up as it’s in our interests they take it from us in one form or another.
It seems every day those muppets come out with yet another wizard wheeze to garner votes from the obedient masses this being the latest. I very much look forward to the hand wringing enquiries when in ‘26 they are right royally shafted at the ballot box.
Why am I not surprised by this. People have forgotten the horrors these terrorists put us the general public through. Little changes no one notices like try and find a bin to dump your rubbish in Paddington station. There aren’t any….check out why.
And that’s where you lack education and experience when discussing this issue. I have lived in these countries mentioned…I do understand and respect their laws and religious beliefs. I fully understood my position there as a non national.
Like it or loath it there are large enclaves in this country of various peoples who do not want to intergrate. We allow free religious practice….we absorb the culture and have welcomed immigration for many a year. Is it too much to ask that anyone arriving here in this country that offers refuge and safety obeys and adheres to the law of the land. I did when I was in a foreign land.
I don’t buy the cultural issue. These animals were either born or raised here or have been here many years. They choose to ignore British law and should feel the full force of it as a warning to all. The key to all this is integration or the lack of on their part. If they can’t accept our laws and culture then go to a country that does.
That’s exactly my take on why it’s in our interest to have a public enquiry…to out those complicit in these crimes against children. It’ll never happen.
Agree with your comments especially regarding Fireboy. If he falls by the wayside it says a lot. Our hiring of managers the last 3 or so has been amateurish to say the least. We can’t keep paying out….Martin excepted…..whilst trying to run the club on a shoestring do for Christ’s sake get someone who knows the Championship and who will last longer than a season.
As all the lunatics who decide what we should heat our homes with, what cars we drive etc live abide in London then when it comes to power cuts they should be the first on the list to suffer blackouts. It won’t come to that however as some Labour spokesman has said we have plenty of gas to go around.
The point of a public enquiry in my understanding is to gather information on how it happened and why. Understanding and identifying why institutions failed, what caused them to fail and accountability. It seems to be the way of The United Kingdom that this will never happen as there are too many stakeholders in this crime who will be required to attend in the full focus of media. Can you imagine how that would pan out?
I really feel we are fast returning to the days of peasantry by every charlatan that poses as a politician. I am sick to death these people forcing every sort of bull crap policy down my throat and telling me to pay for it. If any politician was told they couldn’t claim for second homes…transport…council tax…heating costs etc etc would these parasites still do the job? No they bloody well wouldn’t. So why should I do my job to fund them?
So you’re saying we ignore grooming gang child abuse because it only constitutes approx 3.7% of total child abuse? Well that’s a great message to the abusers.
Heard that figure quoted by a Sky journalist the other night.
